P2 I am at a loss trying to remember the last time GilPa was inspiring. The closest I can come is the halftime pep talk he gave at the 1983 game at Oakwood. Milford was down 10 at half and came back to win on a last second Hail Mary pass!

Mrs Knappe lashes out at her husband , Oh BS , Gil can be inspiring , Gil couldn’t lead a whore to bed, in all reality !

P3- Is that the sun rising in the background? A new day dawning in The Valley so anything is possible as your ex-coach calls you an idiot. Lots of material today for laffs and guffaws.

P1, The Mayor has heard Gil say, "Let’s take a walk, " enough times that nothing good can come from this “walk.”

P2, After Mr. Knappe’s statement, the couple turn to each other and burst into hysterical laughter.

P3, You just noticed that, Gil?

P2: and Marty Schottenheimer knows about inspiring coaching.

“YOU’RE BEING AN IDIOT” Since Mike’s appearance in the strip, that goes without saying.

P4: “I have not yet begun to fight!” “Don’t give up the ship!” “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!” Yes, Mike, they’re all Naval quotes. How’d you like a job as my “Cabin Boy” for the summer? A nice quiet cabin, drifting around in the middle of Lake Erie, no one around for um, uh, “leagues”. It seems the pool is going to be unavailable this summer, the wife is planning some improvements.

Gil has a way of saying “Let’s take a walk” that makes me feel he has a future being a minister for death row inmates.

Totally unrelated to today’s strip, but today’s Argyle Sweater causes me to wonder if Ellisburkes is the writer.

P 4: “…everyone is actually glad that your a$$ is gone….some guys are fighting over wearing the #1 jersey and others are arguing about who gets your spot in the line-up…so don’t worry…it’s all good…”

P1 – Yep, that’s definitely the Gilfather look. If Mike was smart he would not go with him.

P2 – And he know this….how? Did he play for him 30 years ago?

P3 – Looks like Gil is leading him into the sunset, but also straight into the road. Watch for Del Bader out on parole!
