It’s not nice to mock turtle.

I’m still trying to figure out why this bird INSISTS on hi-jacking this Turtle.

This bird often announces that he’s an apteryx, a wingless bird with hairy feathers. But today he’s flying. Wonder what he’s been smoking?

“Be glad I missed the volcano.”

But why were you AIMING for the volcano, you son-of-a-….!

If he landed in the tree he’d still have to get down.

Tortoise!!

Wait to see if a coconut scores a hit before passing judgement.

Things could always be worse.

Geese are rather graceful flyers for all of their bulk. They are also experts on touching down on water. They maintain the same deck angle throughout the approach and then “lower the flaps” (cup their wings) to slow down and maintain lift and usually have a soft “splashdown.”

Ducks, on the other hand, do “carrier landings;” they cut the power about a foot above the water and crash in.

Air travel simply isn’t what it used to be!

Ooo faceplant!!

The bird keeps mistaken him for a clam!

One day, friend turtle will snap.

Exactly how is John getting those words out from under the sand?! Then again, I’d rather not know… :D

Why wouldn’t a water landing work? Even for a tortoise it would probably be an easier target, and clearly the water is right there.

“Watch out for that first step, it’s a lu-luuuuuuu…” ☺

“..missed the volcano”? Were you aiming for it? Perhaps a nice water landing next time.
