More of this? Tiffany should call TJ to take care of Ann. He can come up with a bizarre scheme that takes months, which ends with him taping her saying “I run fake lingerie scams, but I scam smart.” And when she realizes she’s been taped, she’ll just go away…for a few years.

Well I was wrong, the arc continues. As for the room, the kid moves out, the room is fair game. When my brother-in-law moved out, his mother changed the room into a giant walk-in closet, even brought in a carpenter. She was quite the clothes horse.

Oh look! Ann has gotten RID of EVERYTHING Tiffany HAD in her room! What a surprise! (Rolls Eyes)

Big old 30 room mansion, and Ann just HAD to have Tiff’s room for her morning yoga.

“Oh Hon! WE didn’t know you were ever coming back home! So I SOLD all your stuff on eBay! I told Tom you wouldn’t mind! And this really nice girl named Bets, and her goofy looking boyfriend helped me! And I sweet talked them, they only charged me 10%! Isn’t that just yummy?” – Ann

A mat. Ann left Tiff a lousy yoga mat to sleep on. “Ha, Ha, Ha.” And I’ll the Bi*ch has locked EVERY room in the house except Tiff’s “bedroom,” the kitchen, and MAYBE, one bathroom. Still think Tiff selling Ann’s stuff is a bad idea?

DAMN Tom Farrell for ALLOWING this to happen. He’s needs to BURN in the Infernal Regions MORE than Ann does.

Looks like Tiffany MAY be crashing at the Gulag after all.

    And SOONER than We think.

Tiffany is being driven to a point of no return. A place Ann has taken her, and others, before. Kind of like Greg taking his readers on one frustrating arc after another and then dropping them off at some unsatisfying point where Shannon suddenly appears.

Doesn’t necessarily mean Tiffany is expected to sleep in this particular room. If the other bedrooms are locked (who has locks on the OUTSIDE of a bedroom door, except a kidnapper?), then it’s time for Tiffany to walk.

The big reveal here is, there ain’t no way Tom doesn’t know what’s going on. Therefore, as I think Mordy suggested yesterday, what we now see is “Tom approves of” or “Tom doesn’t care” – both answers equally ugly.

Since Ann isn’t going anywhere, Tiffany needs to.

Tom is not her father anymore. If he ever was.

And my prognostication is: All of this, for months, has been a setup to get Tiffany into Luann’s spare room.

I did question whether Ann would repurpose her room. Yep, she did. Yoga room. Wondering if that is a jab to Tiffany’s weight gain? Chose her room to mock her. I also wonder if Ann actually does yoga? Did she only repurpose the room just recently knowing Tiffany was coming to housesit? That sounds right up her alley.

Or she can get in her car, drive out to the cabin (this is what I would do, after taking a picture of the room), confront them both once and for all. Especially her her parent Farrell-Dud. And Ann would literally get a slap in the face for removing all her personal items. And I would make sure everyone her father does business with is publicly made aware the type of scumbag he is. He literally does not deserve her. This has gone way past the point of entertainment and is actually annoying to read. I may wait a few days before I look again and then again I may be back on Tuesday but I am disgusted.

I doubt she will call anyone – too embarrassing. I don’t think will crash anywhere else – again, too embarrassing to explain. I think she will just sleep on one of the couches – heck, she could couch-hop. She left Moony’s 2-person crackerbox size dorm room with university issue mattress. The couches at the mansion would be far more comfortable to sleep on so it is a plus and better than calling people and moving into someplace where people are bound to ask questions. She will housesit for the length she agreed to and in the meantime, she will seek a new residence. I don’t think the housesitting gig was ever a prelude to her moving back home. I think she always meant to find a new place OR she is staying just for the summer and return to Moony in the fall. This may be the first summer she had to drop summer school because she couldn’t afford it. I honestly doubt Tiffany will move in with any of her friends. She is not that way. I think she will meet someone, make friends and at the end of the summer, they find a place and move in. Perhaps one of Tom’s friends calls to invite him to a party, Tiffany answers and says he is gone on vacation. He invites her to his party at his place. She goes and meets his daughter. Something like that.

Didn’t Ann say that there was at least one servant still on premises? That person should have a key to various rooms. There must be a guest bedroom in such a big house. I would NEVER want to sleep in the bed Ann slept in. Ewwww. Barring a guest room, I would just forget the whole thing. There is nothing there to “sit”. It’s a big empty house and except for dust bunnies accumulation, nothing that needs to be done. I’d be outta there. And yes, I think she will end up at Luann’s.

I still don’t know what happened to Tiffany’s mother. I assume death because with divorce she could still contact her. Maybe mom has a cabana boy in Cabo? Could be a new character.

If she is dead, then my heart aches for poor Tiff, who has nobody to lean on in difficult times. Everyone needs a parent, and Tom is either the biggest idiot in the world or the stupidest man alive, that he can just brush off his only child for Ann Awful.

Tiff needs a mother figure. Nancy maybe?

Once lost over to the Dark side, there is no returning. She might as well just leave and go back to making things work elsewhere. That’ll send the right message back to her father that obviously she wasn’t thought of or even remotely considered. So what IF by fortune Ann, (that venomous, hate filled female viper, and there’s a lot of them out there in the world to say the least…not difficult for a guy to get bitten and suffer a long lingering death…) leaves him? Then what would he have left? Just a bunch of things and not the life he helped bring into his world. How sad that is for him!

Some men are like that. They cannot stand up to a woman. Unfortunately, a close relative is like that. His daughters wanted their room a certain color, and chose some furniture while mom was in the hospital. She made him paint it back to its original color and returned the furniture to the store. The girls were heartbroken. Can someone tell me if that is an inherited trait? Dad was like that, and I have been told that his father was like that, too. So was my brother, and now my son. My husband is nothing like that, so he didn’t get it from him. I tried to give and then lend him some movies for his family movie night, and he was afraid to take them. Sorry to get personal, but I really wonder if this is an inherited trait.

It is kind of hard to leave a comment because I feel sorry for a drawing, one who has developed so many new ways, within a new level of young adult Luannverse situations, but as I always say, and most agree here, with Tiffany it’s her parental situation that is fundamental, with a wicked potential stepmom, Ann added to the mix. Tom is drawn distant, clueless, seeming to have a very low empathy, but very successful materially, but I theorize whatever happened to Tiff’s mom might have left him emotionally empty, and now along comes practiced grifter Ann to fill him up. I’ll go back to my basic thesis—Luannverse will help her deal with this situation. It takes time in a daily comic, but it will happen, just not in 2025 I hope.

Any normal girl would immediately text/call her dad to find out where her bed and other stuff are. Even if he’s currently driving he’d have to stop eventually. But this is Luann where smartphones only exist when absolutely necessary, so I’m guessing Tiffany will just roll over again, like she’s been doing every time Ann treats her like garbage. This is getting exhausting; at some point enough has to be enough.

A few days ago Ann claimed her “almost fiance” was a top attorney, so now most of the readers here are convinced he really is an attorney.

Why? Because ANN said so? Suddenly she speaks nothing but absolute truth? Does no one else but me think Ann was just trying to intimidate Nancy and the rest of the staff at the Fuze by threatening legal action from a high powered lawyer? Remember Tiff wasn’t around when Ann made that statement, she and all the others (except Ox) were keeping well away from Ann. It wasn’t until Ann was storming off that the other employees showed up in the background, so Tiff never heard Ann say that.

Maybe he is a lawyer, I don’t know. I don’t know if G&K ever said what his occupation was. But until I hear Tiff or someone besides Ann refer to him as a lawyer, I’m going to have my doubts.

My mom and I parted on the worst terms. I left my momentos and precious yearbooks at her house. I asked her to please please send them to me and I even offered to pay the postage costs. She refused. I simply could not deal with seeing her one more time so I never came back for them. After five years of pleading with her I finally cut off all contact. After she passed away I discovered she had left all my stuff in a damp basement to rot. Everything was molded and falling apart. It was the last straw.

Maybe the cabin has whips & chains & stuff. Ann would be good at that.

So, if it turns out this ends with Tiffany moving into Brad’s old room, she and Luann, who both know Ann ran a scam business out of The Fews yet never told Luann’s parents, will be living together. And Luann’s parents still won’t know an illegal activity took place in the Fews. And Luann and Tiffany still won’t tell them. I don’t know why. That’s a lie, I know why. It’s because GE/KE actually think another “odd couple” scenario would be hilarious. And they threw logic out the window a looooong time ago, so they think no one will even notice how ludicrous this is.

This torture of Tiffany is why I had to walk away from this strip for many months. Looks like I’ll be doing that again. Too close to home and really unnecessary.

This comic is obsessed with the portrayal of male parents who are oblivious to their children. Its too bad because there is quite enough of it in the world without a comic strip perpetuating the role of “absentee dads”. This one is especially bad because he has money and a mean girlfriend. Tiffany needs to realize that her father does not love her and probably never did. He seems to be as equally self absorbed as Frank. I wonder whats up with this psychological common thread in his male dad characters?

Tiffany — get your purse, exit the house, lock the door on the way out and leave the house sitting empty. I’m sure rich daddy has security systems installed and a security service. Let them check for burglars. Go, join Luann and the rest and ignore your dad and his witch queen. He’s abdicated being your dad and doesn’t deserve your attention or concern any more. If he even bothers to try to talk to you, tell him there isn’t room enough in his life for you and Ann. And since he cares so little about having a daughter, then he doesn’t need a daughter at all. Consider yourself divorced from not-so-dear-old-dad. Heck, if she’s under eighteen she should file for divorce from her dad and mail him the papers.

Gutting out Tiff’s old room so she can have a room to do her yoga? That’s pretty low, even for Ann Eiffel. Now the question is, how is Tiff gonna handle this latest bit of nastiness from what is basically her evil stepmother??

Will someone please show me where in the strip it shows that every door in the mansion is locked against Tiffany except for her (former) bedroom?

All I saw was a comment from Mordock where he said he “bet Ann locked all the doors” and everyone jumped on it as a given fact. It could be true but not necessarily. Maybe we’ll find out tomorrow.

If I was her, stop messing around with your studies. Earn that degree. Then work towards buying out your so-called father. Bankrupt him into oblivion. Just for a future plan.

Is that all there’s ever going to be to this arc?

♬Is that all there is, is that all there is?

♬If that’s all there is my friends, then let’s keep dancing.

♬Let’s break out the booze and have a ball.♬

    If that’s all there is…

I am sure Tiff has a friend somewhere who can pick a lock. Les maybe? My bet, although a longshot, is that Anne invites a large number of people to the house for a party while Tiff is working. Tells them to go wild. Maybe from her list of clients for her knock-off lingerie. Just before they return from the “cabin” (in quotes, because I have doubts it is an actual cabin -more like a chalet of opulence, especially if it has room for a cook and a great kitchen), so Tiff looks like someone who is not responsible in her dad’s eyes.

I wish Tiffany would get a dumpster and throw out all Ann’s stuff. Her father must have dementia. It is dangerous to leave an inexperienced young woman alone in such a big house and he should know better. Tiff could fall and hurt herself, or someone could break in.

Are you kidding 50+ have already commented so pardon me if this has been said. It looks like Tiff is going to be sleeping on Ann’s side of the bed. On the last day I’d get real sweaty and lay down on her sheets and pillows, but Daddy’s side would be clean, nay, as pristine as I could get it with Febreeze if needed (in case the stink goes too far). I’d leave my room door open with a sign hanging from the plant ’Don’t you love me anymore, Daddy? And maybe put a copy under his pillow and in his closet.

Well I know it wasn’t you who held me down

Heaven knows it wasn’t you who set me free

So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains

And we never even know we have the key

    But me, I’m already gone

    And I’m feelin’ strong

I will sing this vict’ry song (Eagles – Already Gone)

How much more is Tiffany supposed to take? She needs to take what she has, move out of that place, and move on with her life. The sooner she finds a nice apartment, the better.

Then she can spend the summer full-time at the Fuse, and focus on enrolling in a beauty school.

Apparently the people who draw this strip don’t read this. We’re damn tired of Tiffany getting crapped on. What is WRONG with you? You probably tear the wings off butterflies in your spare time.
