I can’t honestly see how old-school fans of Guy’s version would have issues with a tech-based strip? Perhaps I’m the only pro-Guy fan who doesn’t see a problem with this aspect of updating.
This particular strip works because of the technology aspect. Is it funny,I’m not sure? But is it supposed to make us laugh and give us pause to think about technology and how we view our selves from past images and what we were? Perhaps it’s strips like this that have made the comic more popular.

OJ missed a trick by not having her photograph be of a Bushmiller Nancy, maybe.

It is a shame that you can’t include modesty in that list.

“I can’t remember who I was?” Reading this strip has become as big a laugh riot as gestalt therapy.

Sluggo continues getting smarter under Olivia. In the old days would he have ever used the word, conceivable? Unconceivable. : )
