Hmmmm. I really don’t remember cat food figuring in the Icarus myth.

If Puck smelled like gravy, sage stuffing, and pumpkin pie, I might be tempted to give him a lick, too! ;D

This happens to one or both of my cats all the time. It doesn’t seem to bother them!

Hmm. Could a Sun made out of cat food potentially work? Could it exist? A lot of cats would pull an Icarus if our Sun was made out of cat food.

By the way. The Hubs is completely over his bout with COVID-19, passed his “three days with no symptoms” and will return to his job tomorrow, which will be day #8 of no symptoms, because his company was shut down for two weeks. It was a very mild case for him. I am past my 14 days of staying home because I was exposed to his virus. So far, so good. Stay tuned. Blessings to everybody out there.

So that’s a version of the tale of Icarus I hadn’t heard before…puts a bit of a happier spin to its ending though, don’t you think?

At the colony, it’s not uncommon for the cats to get dripped on with the food. On their heads, backs, sometimes tails (not sure how they do that one, but they do).

Today is Packrat Day, so let’s hear it for the Rat Pack!

Frankly, I think they should have a day. They may have, in some ways, been rats, but oh could they sing.

Now let’s get back to the real day, Packrat Day. I am one, I confess. I know all too well the truth of the saying: “Junk is something you keep for ten years, then throw out the day before you desperately need it.”

Now, in my case, I’m no longer an Orthodox Packrat. I am now a Reformed Packrat. All that STUFF is organized. What’s more, if something has been sitting around a long time, hasn’t been used or re-purposed (“Junkyard Wars” style) I recycle it.

Now if only I could find a way to re-purpose cat hair …

Puck is like our panther boy. He also gets really excited for breakfast- at 5am. I don’t share his enthusiasm, but I do love seeing him race down the stairs and mill about in the kitchen. So far, he has not been anointed with turkey gravy despite his best efforts.

Your real friends are the ones who lick the turkey juice from your fur.

Last night I gave the kitties tuna water. They seemed quite excited and grateful. At least, I think that’s why when I was eating my tuna noodle, I had one by each foot, looking up at me adoringly.

Oh, sure. Lupin doesn’t mind having Goldie around when it means finding a little snack.

They are such good friends.

Imagine for just a moment that the drop of cat food on Puck’s head is pineapple flavored. Can’t you just see Puck trying with vast determination to lick the top of his own head?

Puck is no turkey, even if he smells like one.

Social grooming can solve a lot of problems.

I just give up on GoComics sometimes, like now, when I clicked on reply and got taken to the initial page, click on comic to see the whole thing and then after that you can see comments that will again take you back to the initial page when you click on them. I thought HTML should be stable by now.
