I guess consuming such huge amounts of food really can cause one to have nightmares. There was another cartoon, from 1968 or so, where CB has a disturbing dream, that his pitcher’s mound can TALK, and it says to him,“WHy don’t you ever learn to PITCH, you stupid kid?” thus causing him to wake up at once, saying,in Panel 4, “I’m going to have to stop eating all those pizzas, just before going to bed.” But then, it could be just an old wives’ tale; who knows.

Snoopy, why did you think CB could fly a dog? He can’t even fly a kite! No insult meant to CB though

This strip disturbed me as a kid. Seeing Snoopy smash to pieces at the end made me want to eat less pizza too because I was afraid of having nightmares like that.

This is a very, very, very, very, very unusual Peanuts strip. The tone, the betrayal of Snoopy by CB, the shocking graphic violence are unparalleled by any other Peanuts strip that I can remember. Disturbing and cause to wonder what occasioned it.

Kind of scary, but I can occasionally be into dark humor, so… This made me crack up :P

At least Snoopy woke up before he started dreaming about a dog-eating tree!
