    Why is it “very wrong” for first cousins Mildred and Sonny to be besties? Now, if they had been the ones to have “kissed each other 100 times at least”, then that would have been very wrong. After all, Tackleford is not Dogpatch or Hootin’ Holler.

    I don’t know if Sonny suspected Claire before she “thaw thome hoodlumth running away towardth Wendlefield”, but the side eye he’s giving her there definitely shows he wasn’t buying her story.
