What would you do if it did include them?

If, like you, Mr. Trump, they also ignore and disregard the suggested protocols and safeguards, it might be a large number of your supporters. After all, it’s just a cold, right? After all, you’re doing such a great job, right?

It’s probably not possible, but it would be interesting to see how many of his beloved supporters succumb to this hoax.

actually more likely since so many of his supporters are anti-science, and think anything they don’t like is just a liberal hoax

The 100,000 to 240,000 deaths (currently a “best-case” prediction) will not be randomly distributed. While there is no way to have 100% certainty in avoiding at least some exposure, those who take the most aggressive steps towards safe practices for avoidance and mitigation of possible exposure, can greatly reduce the odds of being included in that horrible number.

PROgressives take science seriously and are the ones trying to follow the recommendations. Blue state governors were the first to take aggressive, early action while all states that still do not have statewide orders (and even those who were the last to declare them, riddled with exceptions) have Red state governors. Those states will be hit the hardest when the tidal wave rolls over their states.

But even within the Red states without orders, those who individually choose to self-isolate and take protective measures, while never able to completely eliminate all risk, can greatly reduce the odds.

Those who ignore science, ignore warnings and make no effort to be safe will be the ones disproportionately affected, and that group largely includes Red state conservatives who ignore science and minimize a serious risk — going to evangelical churches in large crowds, partying on beaches, etc.

The conservatives can deny Darwin but they can’t escape Darwin.

And yes, Mr Trump, that means YOUR supporters are likely to be hardest hit.

    Heckuva job, Trumpy.

Of course none of your supporters can succumb – they’re protected by self-righteousness! But even if some do, the Russians will help you harvest their votes from beyond the grave. And, of course, all of the families and friends of non-supporters who die will be extremely grateful and will flock to your side…

What we have here is not a failure to communicate….it is a failure to listen ….it is a failure to act for the health and safety of the populations of the world in general. This disease is a high powered weapon that has been given free reign to kill off the old, the disabled, the stubbornly or stupidly defiant, What we are seeing across the world is a failure to act….the lack of preparation, the denial of medical care in the face of a weaponized disease. The warnings have been publicized repeatedly for decades. The arrogance of all the peoples who wouldn’t listen has come home to roost. Those people who kept saying “it can’t happen here”….“it can’t happen nowadays because we are so medically advanced and knowledgable”…“it can’t happen now because, because, because…” So…it has happened in a worst case scenario . A global life extinguishing event that could have been mitigated…could have been prepped for….oh wait…oh yeah….the United States had a President who did just that…but because of the stupidly political, racially motivated hatred that removed all the safeguards put into place….. IT IS HAPPENING WORLDWIDE.

I found this article interesting on Bloomberg:

Countries with mandatory policies to vaccinate against tuberculosis register fewer coronavirus deaths than countries that don’t have those policies, a new study has found.

The preliminary study posted on medRxiv, a site for unpublished medical research, finds a correlation between countries that require citizens to get the bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine and those showing fewer number of confirmed cases and deaths from Covid-19. Though only a correlation, clinicians in at least six countries are running trials that involve giving frontline health workers and elderly people the BCG vaccine to see whether it can indeed provide some level of protection against the new coronavirus.

    Entire article found here:

If you look at who is saying what, his supporters are the ones more likely to die.

As much as I don’t want this fool re-elected, and I could be making jokes about Darwinism here, I don’t want them to die. I just want them to wake up and leave the cult.

Oh yeah. And learn that voting Republican is voting against their own interests.

This strip does not have a true grasp of reality. How naïve and deluded do you have to be to think that tRump would actually be concerned about his supporters dying? There is no doubt that for the time being he’s upset about not able to bask in the glow of his worshipers at rallies, but as long as enough supporters survive to make a decent crowd once the rallies return, what difference would the death of some of supporters matter to tRump?

Given how many evangelical and GOP leaders are ignoring medical advice, more Redhats will die than his opponents.

Anti-science Trump supporters are prime targets for the virus because they refuse to listen to the experts. Fox ‘news’ broadcast lies calling the virus a ‘hoax’. The gullible right wingers are most at risk because they won’t take precautions.

Given time, the Orange Pustule will throw his believers under the bus. As red states buckle he’ll make a great show of how blue states greedily took his supporters fair share of med supplies. But his administration is and will be too incompentant to even save his base. One thing will hold true, expect the first Orange family of fraud to figure means to profit handsomely from all this death.

This is war and Trump is a wartime president. In war you can expect casualties. How many casualties will it take to save Wall Street? 100,000? 200,000. According to Republicans the sacrifice is worth it, just ask the Lieutenant Governor of Texas. We should all be willing to die for the Stock Market to Keep America Great.

Republican math: GOP = TRUMP = $$$ > human life.

Rubio would understand. His bribe from the NRA works out to $1.05 per student death in a mass shooting.

OT: Mitch McConnell removed his lips from Trump’s ass long enough to make a statement that the only reason Trump did not respond the the crisis when it first showed itself was that he was distracted by the impeachment procedures. Nice try, Mitch and true to Trumpian form: blame someone else for Trump’s failures.

What this tells me is that McConnell admits that Trump failed and that an excuse is necessary.

It also tells me that Trump cannot multi-task and is easily distracted. He has difficulty ambulating and masticating at the same time: in other words, he can’t walk and chew gum.
