As Benjamin Franklin said, “Give small child a hammer and all that he encounters will require hammering.” Going by Trump’s intelligence and character, a small child comes out ahead.

As tiny as his thumbs are, he would probably hammer them anyway.

“The Young Donald Trump as Apprentice: An Imaginary Flashback: (—

NOTE: You won’t find this in boring old Wikipedia (—

Donald Trump’s father, Fred, out of paternal desperation once required his son to enter a carpenter apprenticeship program. The purpose was two-fold: One, it would familiarize Donald with construction techniques in the housing Fred built, and which his son would presumably continue to do. Two, it would give the randy fellow something useful to do other than chase (and too often catch) girls.

However, back then Donald could not suppress his “romantic” obsessions. He did attend the initial classroom instruction, but practically everything discussed distracted him. The principles of nailing and screwing made him snicker. A basic carpentry tool like a hammer had to him an alternate meaning — as did (in alphabetical order) buffers, center punches, grease guns, sockets, and studs. The mention of of drills, reamers, and screwdrivers sent him into gales of laughter. The class instructor was amazed and then disgusted at the incipient profligate. To put Donald with a journeyman carpenter would hardly do.

Fred Trump finally had admit his son would always be as he was, but possibly become even worse. So he gave a him a large allowance and a series of generous “loans.” At that time, little did he or anyone else imagine that Donald would in future spin wildly through successes and failures to eventually end up President of the United States!

Donald Trump still has the hammer from his apprenticeship. He had it silver-plated and it presently hangs in the Oval Office. It was the only tool he handled with any proficiency (except one other, ahem). Although he never hammered a nail in quite straight, he did so with vigor, often imagining he was pounding the face of a competitor. The stylized image of a COVID-19 virus brings out this urge in him now. May he then so inspired serve his country well in its time of need.

The negligent idiot Republican president spreads misinformation like wildfire.

He alone will be responsible for tens of thousands of American deaths.

Trump needs to be removed from office now.

‘A really chilling moment’: Trump refuses to allow Dr. Fauci to answer question on dangers of hydroxychloroquine.

FDR: “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself”. Churchill: “We shall fight on the beaches…” PINO COVID-45: “I’m not responsible”, “The Chinese started the virus”, “The Obama administration is responsible for the U.S. not being prepared for the pandemic”. The people in the U.S. (at least those whom aren’t MAGAt sheeples) really don’t care how you spin it, Donnie Boi, just be part of a solution.

11 hours ago – OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Washington Gov. Jay Inslee said Sunday that the state will return more than 400 ventilators of the 500 it has received .

    .

What does that mean? Has the virus peaked in Wa State? Is it less lethal than first thought? Or does the state already have enough ventilators?

Three and a third years ago, Mr. Trump wondered, “Who knew health care could be so complicated?” (Practically everyone but him, apparently). Now, Mr. Trump asserts, “I take no responsibility.” Very well, but let us now give credit where credit is due, shall we? His “beautiful economy” is a smoking ruin. Americans are dying by the thousands (9,624 to date), and Mr. Trump says it’s going to get worse. Indeed he has MAGA – Made A Graveyard of America.

You can’t make a person believe what they don’t want to believe. Trump doesn’t want to believe anything that makes him look bad. He always has alternative facts. It’s always someone else’s fault.

Save your breath. At best the Great Orange One only pretends to listen. In a well-known fairy tale parody by Benchley, there is a magic ring which enables its wearer to fall asleep while appearing to carry on a conversation. Trump has one of those.
