Somehow Bill Clinton could get through impeachment without jeopardizing the country.

Oh, Mr Bok, are you saying you really believe that Mitch McConnell’s majority would have convicted Trump if he hadn’t hands-on managed his defense?

Bottom line: Trump’s main concern in January was stage managing his PR to stir up hostility against his critics and promote his re-election. And for that, tens of thousands of Americans will die unnecessarily.

Trump has blood on his hands because of his actions and inactions in January.

Also, his actions and inactions in February.

    And in March.

    And April.

    .

His Disciples, including Chip, also share because of their aiding and abetting.

Even NOW, there is no large scale testing and no data developed from the testing and NO strategy based on that data. And, there are NO plans to perform large scale testing. There is NO national strategy for coping with the virus and NO plans to develop one. NONE.

Trump’s idea of a national strategy is:

    1. Declare that the federal government has no role to play, only the states.

    2. Blame the states for not stockpiling medical resources in case of a world wide pandemic.

    3. Declare that he is ‘not responsible at all’ and ‘give himself a 10’ for his handling of the pandemic.

    4. Fire a military officer for trying to protect those under his command.

    .

Chip and The Disciples are not tired of winning yet, huh?

Let’s do some fact checking. Trump was impeached on Dec 19, 2019. Done. From then until Jan 16, 2020, when the Senate trial began, he was free to actually act like a president and DO SOMETHING, anything but play golf. Which is what he did during that almost month. The WHO informed the world of the virus threat in Dec, 2019. And as noted, Trump was free to focus on the threat for an entire month at least.

Trump was officially impeached on Dec. 19, 2019. It’s not clear exactly when Trump was first alerted about the possibility of a pandemic. The Washington Post reported that U.S. Intelligence officials were warning the president about the potential scale of the coronavirus outbreak as early as January. While we don’t know a specific date, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued its first alert for U.S. clinicians to be “on the look-out for patients with respiratory symptoms and a history of travel to Wuhan, China” on Jan. 8, 2020.

About a month after that on Feb. 5, Trump’s impeachment trial ended when the Senate voted not to convict. Trump visited a golf course on Jan. 18 and 19, Feb. 1 and 15, and March 7 and 8. All of these golf outings took place at Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida. Trump also hosted rallies on Jan. 9 (Ohio), 14 (Wisconsin), 28 (New Jersey) 30 (Iowa), and on Feb. 10 (New Hampshire), 19 (Arizona), 20 (Colorado), 21 (Nevada), and 28 (South Carolina).

A competent qualified proactive president would not have dismantled an agency committed to dealing with the inevitable pandemics that will arise as coronaviruses continue to mutate. The RNC seemed desperate in choosing the populist over the competent choices and will be paying for it in the future. Now we have the dual problems of disease and disunity; both of which must be corrected if we wish to thrive. A sane president, realizing his limits, would step aside and let the competent guide us through the pandemic using the best possible tools and methods. Will that happen?

Republicans can’t walk and chew gum at the same time.

You can’t blame Nancy for Trump’s criminal behavior.

It was because of crooked liar Trump’s anti-Constitutional behavior that he was getting impeached in the first place.
