Nothing new. I’ve known restaurants and bars that got so closed they never reopened.

Now they can compete for being the most bankrupt, the poor guys. This can’t end soon enough.

My restaurant is so closed, I never even given it a thought to open one.

Reminds me of an early “Mad Comic”… A row of restaurants… First one displays “Best in town”… The next displays “Best in the country”… The next displays “Best on the planet”… The three of them have hardly any customers… The last one has customers queuing down the street… “The best on the block”…

The restaurant business is tough enough. I would wager there are more business failures there than in any other industry.

Some restaurants that normally do not do take out are offering that service now. I wonder if they will continue and if customers will get used to this kind of service.

There are always a few who take conformity to such a level that it becomes non-conformity. These are the compliance complications that make life interesting. Doing the right thing as hard as you can might just be wrong.

I really miss getting up in the morning and taking the motorcycle or airplane out for breakfast once or twice a month.

I did take ou for dinner last night to support a local business. them ian town of the street was creepy. the place is doing ok, a lot of heir business is take out anyway and they had a sign on the door saying “don’t come in we’ll come out to you” but a street usually full of parked cars and traffic and people was empty. creepy is the only word for it.

In Maryland, Gino’s is a fast food place, they’re probably still open for carryout.

Has anyone else realized that they are eating ‘better’ now? We haven’t hit a fast food place for a month, let alone dine out. Instead, we have time to actually prepare and cook meals! I had forgotten how good homemade bread is. And I’ve gotten out my recipe book from my college days on ‘meals for under $5’.

I feel I am also part of an elite group, having also not eaten at the exclusive 5 star restaurant, which is closed.

I’m hoping a lot of those places can survive by offering take out and delivery service. I don’t drive, so I’ve been ordering delivery from different restaurants for my dinners. I make a big order and then dinners for a week.

Around here a lot of restaurants are doing curb side pickup and delivery. Some are even providing frozen versions of their food. I’ve got some fantastic food in the freezer now. I was happy to see a line up of cars at one of my favorite restaurants.

My two favorite Chinese restaurants are closed. Not even doing delivery/take out. I hope they reopen when this is over. Both of them had the nicest delivery drivers!
