It’s nice to see Violet still being involved in things in 1973. She was fairly prominent in the testimonial dinner story arc, and she’s hanging out with Chuck and the gang here. I like how the colourist made her dress violet, too.
I do remember a run of strips where C.B. has a stomachache on the pitcher’s mound (anxiety related) – a couple of the girls tell him he worries too much and should be like them, singing “La de da! Win or lose? Who cares? La de da! We don’t care! We don’t care!” – this doesn’t help.
Turns out all the really serious diseases were apparently taken. Schulz may be presaging how on ‘The Simpsons’, Krusty did fundraisers for motion sickness and balcony collapse.
