A bit like practicing a musical piece or a martial arts move until it becomes a part of you, you don’t have to think about it, it just IS.

Words to live by. It’s what’s so great about Facebook… “hey, people I know & some I don’t, here’s the donut I’m having for breakfast; and then I’m off to get some gas for my car”

Wonder what the world would be like if more people took the time to measure their choices against Frazz’s last statement? I know my life might have been vastly different, although not necessarily better.

When I look back on things I’ve written, they surprise me…I was smarter then than I am now….

Judging by the previous comments, I think I prefer the memorization of a martial arts move. So far, that hasn’t sent me to the hospital.

I finished my ninth mallet! Leather faced! I expect it will be around 30 years from now. Somewhere.

Every time I think I’ve made my mark on the world I glance back over my shoulder to see Mother Nature coming behind me with an eraser.

That’s the way I feel about taking pictures that you’ll never look at again… make it worth looking at NOW.

There is truth to this. Studies have shown that students who take hand written notes have the highest rates of retention. It even beats typing notes into a laptop/tablet. Paper notes for the win.

personally all of my vivid memories are either base on the shock value, 9/11 or the uniqueness of the situation. I remember creative situations but not with the same intensity.

over the years I have met a number of people who suffered from some sort of PTSD, one from the holocaust , another from the khmer rouge and a few vietnam vets. the exactness of their memory was beyond anyone else that I have met.

    Jef Mallett’s Blog Posts.

Frazz16 hrs · When the very wise folks at my syndicate suggested I start this Facebook page and the idea of adding a little text to give my readers a little insight into how I approached that day’s strip, or my creative process, or my life in general, nobody could have predicted the thousands and thousands of words of blather that would gush forth. Nobody, that is, except anyone who knew me at all. And the word did gush, as if from … no, not a fire hose. I’m more picturing the showers in the pool locker room at the high school where my masters team practices when the world is not shut down. Those showers weren’t all that forceful, but they never shut all off, either. To the school’s credit, they remodeled the locker rooms and finally fixed the showers. To reassure you guys, that’s where the simile ends. No repairs on the horizon for me.

Anyway, if I were to condense my approach to Frazz, the Frogg, my creative process and my life into something a little more efficient, today’s strip is about as efficient as I can ever hope to get.
