Maybe Pig and Rat should spend more time talking about how they feel.

Agreed, Pig. Maybe you should start doing Find the Hidden Object puzzles instead.

I saw a recent article that people are buying up puzzles. Which is downright puzzling. What did they used to do with their time that they can’t do now? Go outside? You still can (with care, in most places). Watch the boob toob? No change there either. Go to work? If you’re working from home, you should have about (length of prior commute * 2) extra time. I guess for folks who’re laid off, the time might drag.

Looks like the wife picked up the habit way too early. She burnt out on puzzles months ago.

I recently saw a jigsaw puzzle that would keep Pig busy for a little longer. It came in three layers. All of them transparent.

After Pig goes insane, he could take Rat apart and try to put him back together again.

Pig should ascertain whether the virus affects entities of the porcine persuasion.

If not then he is free to shed this iniquity of quarantine and roam free!

I read memoirs of WWII pilots whilst building plastic models of the planes they flew. WWII makes this pandemic seem like a walk in the park. Remember when we could walk in the park?

A while back my son introduced me to an on-line game called My Time At Portia. It is one of those role-playing games where you build various pieces of equipment as well as different items for yourself and the villagers in your town. It is pretty fun and at times challenging, so it helps with passing the time.

I want to find more.. well… “guy” puzzles. There are far too many sunsets, farm fields, windmills, and puppy puzzles. I want something like Star Destroyers, Aircraft carriers, and civil war battlefields. If I had a bigger house, I’d also like bigger puzzles – 10,000 pieces or something Of course, I’d still be working on it long after COVID-19 and probably when the next pandemic came around.

We’ve been self-isolating since Feb.3rd. Except for the occasional forays for food and to pay bills that couldn’t be paid online, we’ve been en casa.

Fortunately, even though the place is relatively small, there’s enough room that we’re not invading each other’s space 24/7. That’s the key! Giving each other enough space.

Our 3rd-floor terrace affords plenty of room to exercise, get plenty of fresh air, watch the near-deserted city and sit and talk to each other ( or just enjoy the silence).

Can’t go to the park but with all the flowering plants around our roof patio, we don’t need to.

I am working on one now that has taken me well over a month! It is a pile of Kittens and most of them have the same markings. It is very cute, but devious!

Back in the 40s my mother had a collection of handmade jig saw puzzles. Some of the pieces were trees, fish shape. My wife loved puzzles & during my 25 years working in Contemporary Design at Hallmark Cards. I bought a huge collection of Hallmark puzzles. Don’t know if it is true, but a rumor of a disgruntled employee doing puzzle quality control would take took one piece out of very complicated hard puzzles.Met Pete Seeger when he came to Brown University in 1957. Was a tenor banjo player since 1952, & wanted to learn how to play a 5-string. RISD classmate made a longneck banjo with vintage Vega pot for me.

Been playing this banjo since 1966. My version of Pete Seeger’s Coal Creek March.

Music is healing & helps the mind stay young & positive!
