Must be making a rug for his office. He can put as many stars on it as he wants depending on the size I suppose. My grandmother used to have a large loom with which she made braided rugs. I was fascinated watching her create something out of old strips of cloth.
It’s an abstract representation of the US flag! Because that box is not large enough to hold a big enough kit for 50 stars – or even the origianl 13. I hope he enjoyed making it – and that he finished it. So many don’t (myself included, but I lost it in the last move so I have an excuse).
