Who would even have a line on their rod that strong for a sunfish?

One time I grew to 12 feet long and weighed over 3 tons.

I can believe that about flies since most insects have short life spans.

The pilot should have died as midflight for a jumbo jet is 30,000 feet and about 600 MPH. The entire aircraft would have decompressed. The flight attendants would have passed out without oxygen masks. Not just the lack of oxygen would have killed him, it is perilously cold up there what with a 600MPH wind chill to lay upon the freezing cold. Then again, his body should have been ripped apart by the 600 MPH winds (like in a tornado). As a military freefall veteran I can testify to how cold it is at 30,000 feet. We’d jump out the back of a cargo jet at 30,000 feet and any part of you that was not covered got instant frostbite.

It wasn’t a “jumbo jet”, it was a BAC111.

That’s about 19 to 24 days too long!

A fly in my house would call that longevity.

I’ve caught my share of sunfish (bream) in my day and not a single one would have measured up to this one! ;o)

The ocean is full of odd looking creatures. The sunfish is definitely one of them! Those fish look so awkward without a tail!

It was less mid-flight and more during takeoff, but that sounds cooler. Also, the pilot lived.

I thought a fly’s life span was shorter than that.

That’s 24 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds too long.
