Exactly correct Lester! The torches and pitchfork Leftist proletarian rabble in the House is holding the bill hostage to further their revolution against the evil corporate fat cat Capitalists. Gee, just one thing, the Senate Democrats on all applicable committees were called in by McConnell to help write their bill – which Schumer praised! Talk about an ‘inconvenient truth’!

Actually, a compromise seems to be nearing.https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/03/24/coronavirus-stimulus-government-response/2905878001/Solar tax credits aren’t mentioned here, but I don’t see why not. Climate change is the other big, but less imminent crisis. Why haven’t we been constantly lambasting the Senate GOP for its failure to work with Democrats on Climate Change? Seriously. It’s like the GOP is somehow morally against helping solve two crises at the same time.

Not only is the republican “relief” bill aimed at helping the big corporations, but Trump has said that his companies should be included in the relief package since "the presidency “has cost him a lot of money”. Apparently, the $650.00 night the they charge the secret service for it’s agent to protect him when he is at his own properties is not enough.

Dems, this is not the time for this, although the repubs have a long history (going back to Newt) of doing the same thing!

I have no idea how my cartoon “champions the rich” when nobody’s as rich as they were since jan. 31 when Trump shut down China tourism and was predictably called racist. But I can read the democrat authored 1100 pg. bill and the truth is there’s not enough space in that cartoon for me to list the “pork” Nancy Pelosi is using before helping the American people. Here’s a few I left out:-$300million for PBS-$13 million for historically Black Colleges-same day voter registration-$15 min. wage-greater coll. bargaining power for unions-airlines go carbon neutral by 2025 (only if they go out of biz)-etc.I can’t imagine denying your own citizens of desperate help just to advance a green new deal agenda. It’s barbaric and how civil wars start.

We don’t need another corporate bailout. Been there, done that. My grand kids will still be paying that off the first one at the turn of the 22nd century. People generate 77% of our economy, not businesses. If you want to energize the economy, giving money to big business won’t do it. How did that massive coporate tax cut help anyone but the weathly? I don’t want to fund stock buy backs and executive bonuses.

So much for that newfound candor. Must have gotten his information from Hannity and FTucker Carlson again.

Fact: there’s little to no opinion in the cartoon. Every labeled pig is written in the Dem pork laden bill. Meanwhile Americans need relief from the gov./economic daily tragedy and I’d bet my life everyone of you here has someone who desperately needs that help. If not you yourself. But Pelosi / Schumer’s faux altruistic utopian liberal wet dream is worth your and your loved one’s suffering. And that’s sad.

Yet you don’t show the plan to hide stimulus recipients until after the election? You can bet Trump resorts would be a major benefactor.

One of the most ridiculous criticisms is the “bailout” of the Post Office. The proposal is to eliminate the outrageous mandate that benefits at the PO must be funded for 50 years. That makes up 90% of their “debt”.

If companies want corporate socialism, they should have to give something in return rather than the typical Repub handouts. Airlines should not have REDUCED their research into fuel efficiency while their flights and profits have increased. Repub tax cuts went to stock buy backs so mandating that workers be represented on boards can help to change the typical “everything for execs and stockholders” attitude that is increasing income inequality while hurting long-term health of companies.

Abortion $$$ is a flat out lie. The Repubs want to block money from Planned Parenthood when they provide health screenings for Medicaid.

Funny that there are 3 pigs on the same topic – wind and solar and Green New Deal.

The Republican bill establishes a fund for corporations that Mnuchin can dole out in secrecy. When asked about it, Trump said that he would decide where the money goes. This means the majority would go to “affected businesses” like Trump hotels.

Repubs have attempted to suppress voters for a long time – they’ve even openly admitted that it hurts their chances when more people vote. Establishing standards to support voting while people are social distancing is VERY important to a FAIR election.
