    As for “real” leadership, I’m looking at seems to be coming from the governors of New York, California, and Washington State. Maybe someone needs to sub for the idiot in the White House.

    Nope. That’s not how it works. Leadership takes the situation as it is (not as you wish it were), looks at the facts of what needs to be done, explains clearly and calmly what needs to be done, gives an understanding ear to those who express fear, and then leads the people to do what is right. That’s not a partisan thing — but it is true that in this instance, the Democratic governors seem to be showing true leadership while the Republican president has to be dragged kicking and screaming into doing anything at all — and then only if it benefits him.
