@Number Three Today’s strip is slightly funny our HeRO Mr Andrew Capp , sober again rambling on about the high value of racing pigeons , settles for a measly two quid for one of his birds , which is less than a pint of beer, if the pub was open :o) , my avatar is a photo of me in a track suit , feeling chilly because March came in like a lamb and going out like a lion in Malta and also to show a certain troll that I frequently post avatars with my handsome mug :o) how was your day? ours should be busy and being another national holiday " Freedom Day" when the Brits humoured the powers of that day and sent a small destroyer to leave Malta , we are bored because like most of the residents in our street , being over 65 we are under house arrest till June :o{ stay safe starlet and BCNU , PS I like your new avatar

But that’s an “I don’t want to move” pigeon. Slightly less valuable.

Let’s see now, two quid in U.S. dollars converts tp $2.46. That seems like a lot of money for an over the hill flying rat.

Andy’s bargaining skills leave much to be desired!

Probably the 4th or 5th time he has sold the same bird.

“…hic…two squids for a great pigeon such as this? It’ll be five squids and an octopus or no deal.” ~ Andy if it would have been after 6pm.

So 2 quid is worth more then a bird in the hand.

Andy’s no dummy. He knows the bird will come back to him and he can sell it again!

A classic I’ve always liked has Andy bemoaning having to sell off one of his pigeons, and I’m paraphrasing a bit:

Andy: “It tears me up to part with one of me birds”

Flo: “I know, it brings a lump to yer wallet!”

A friend of mine raised pigeons to eat them. Would 2 quid be an expensive meal?

I wonder how many pigeons he has left?

My avatar shows me standing outside my doctors surgery feeling like I’d conquered a dragon because I was pretty pleased with myself. It was taken last month as I had to go there to have some cells removed for analysis.

I will not go into too much detail but I have to have this done every 3 years and it’s only for women.

It wasn’t a very pleasant experience. In fact it hurt, but it was over quickly and I got my results after 9 days. Everything came back normal.

$100,000? If I ever want to get a pet bird, I’d prefer to get something more affordable, like a parakeet or a zebra finch.

Where does Andy get his birds? Those he can scrounge wandering loose in the park?!
