A friend & I were just discussing that exact thought a few days ago, after seeing photos of empty or nearly empty streets & locations in major cities & tourist sites.

TV station here in Indianapolis had a short (90 second?) segment on exactly that, in black-and-white, of course: drones over downtown, parking lots at the malls, movie theaters, all empty.

My Beloved and Darling Wife made pretty much the same comment.

For shooting films, television productions or commercials, those empty streets are a Location Manager’s dream. No traffic to control, no civilians interfering with the shot, no gawkers or thieves … The only problem is that all your paid extras and actors are wearing surgical masks…

I think those movies will soon be based on a true story.

Hey dude! People actually believe that zombie fiction – you’ll risk a permanent headache.

My first thought (I am old) was of the great old and underappreciated film “On the Beach” with streets progressively depopulated. I find this as a great bookend to a double feature with “Dr. Strangelove”.

If in your confinement you need a movie that you have not seen to distract you, you could do worse!
