Watching Fox News on channel 11 in Los Angeles, the newscaster made the claim that the French had made a breakthrough on the coronavirus from the combination of two drugs: an antimalaria drug and an antibiotic. They brought in Dr. Oz to explain that we could be through the worst of it very soon.
Then the weatherman said that the coming hot weather would take care of the virus.
Is any of this true?
A Google search brings up TechCrunch that said a published report in International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents said a combo of two drugs could shorten the length of the virus in patients. The study was with a small test sample but showed great promise.
The same article in TechCrunch says that a true vaccine is 12 to 18 months away.
The problem is that now any communications about the virus from the CDC has to be vetted through the White House and so it is difficult to believe anything.
While it is true that sunlight is a disinfectant and some flus are seasonal, no one really knows what will happen with this particular virus.
Someone in congress sold stock right before the market crash….HMMMM! seems this is all fixed…..I’m NOT surprised because of the corruption “gene” floating around the WH
Not only is Venice’s ecology benefitting from this mess, but the skies are clearer and there’s not as much smog. Even cities in China, where the smog is bad enough to be seen from space (or so I’ve heard) are seeing how much nicer things are when smoke is not being belched into the atmosphere. Maybe people will get used to this and try to keep things nice.
It makes sense to buy and sell stocks based on what you’re hearing in the news. The word pandemic requires evaluation of your portfolio. And, you can pretty much figure that anything you get from Trump is a lie and base your decisions on that too. One thing about Trump, at least you can depend on him. If his mouth is moving, he’s lying.
I wish it were more than the tie that got caught in this vice. The only body part sticking out far enough to get caught would be his lying tongue or his Pinocchio nose.
Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.), James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Richard Burr (R-N.C.) each sold hundreds of thousands of dollars in stocks within days of the Senate holding a classified briefing on Jan. 24 with Trump administration officials on the threat of the coronavirus outbreak. – The Hill

It’s a mess. Too bad “our” president’s best thing is making messes when we need someone who’s good at fixing them.

Remember GranMa’s old clothes washer? I’d love to see the great blob with his tie in the wringer.
