    They can be both.

    They will be both.

Or “I hope flowers will grow in them this year”.

I don’t know much about cartooning, but today’s looks like it was a lot of work. Panel 1 and 3 might be identical, but still the pots look great.

We’ve moved. Made seven trips in the Sprinter van with just potted plants.

OMG it reminds me of me with plants. Only one that ever kept growing was a pretty red leaved one, of which I can’t remember the name and my Cactus plant that decided it wanted to be obscene and grew two small pieces of itself on the sides of the big one.

I find ‘growing from seed’ to be the biggest challenge. I’m always watering too much or not enough. They generally rot or dry up on me. In the vegetable garden, I have better luck, primarily because it rains enough around here anyways, and what doesn’t come up, I ignore. :P

I’ve only ever successfully kept spider and coleus plants.

Yep, that’s me. I’m sometimes successful with rose bushes, but they don’t go in pots.

Apparently she has my mother’s brown thumb. You might have heard of it. She is able to turn any healthy plant into compost in record time.

I’ve been known to torture a few plants to death. Lack of water will do that. Instead or real plants, my Mom started buying me plastic plants. Now I only need water them to get the dust off.

I’ve given up and just let the indigenous flora grow. Course the HOA doesn’t see it that way.
