That “box” won’t be available on a ballot until November. Then it will reside right next to whomever the Democrat candidate ends up being.
Unless you are a Republican who happens to live in a state that didn’t cancel the primary “because Trump’s going to win anyway”, and then it resides next to Weld’s name. But since the Republican primaries are almost entirely “winner take all” Trump is likely to win anyway.
Over the last 8 years the GOP Texas legislature voted to close over 500 polling station in areas with a majority of Black/Hispanic voters, 230 where the Black/Hispanic population was over 35% and 2 where minorities were less than 10% of the voters. The GOP politicians said this was to “simplify voting”. [Dallas Morning News, 5 Mar, p.8a]
The problem with the ‘anyone but Trump’ message is that it doesn’t reach the people that the Democrats need to reach… the hard line left are gonna vote for anyone that isn’t trump, no matter what… the hard line right are gonna vote to keep trump (and their party) in office, no matter what… the middle ground that is needed to win, doesn’t want to hear ‘anyone but trump’… we want to know what your ideas are, you plans, how you would do things… Don’t tell me that what trump is doing is wrong, tell me what you are gonna do better, different, right???
Republicans HAVE to lie and cheat in any way they can. When people are given a choice of two statements on issues that actually affect their everyday life, one that describes the Republican position and the other the Democrat’s, the Democratic position is chosen by about 80% of Democrats and Independents. No surprise there. The weird part is that just under half of Republicans also choose Democrat positions, unless they are told which position is supported by each party. Then they fall into line and choose the Republican option- 78% of the time. So, it is entirely reasonable for Republicans to lie a lot. The people running the Republican party are in that half of the Republicans who actually believe in Republican positions. They are roughly 25% of the voting public. They have no chance of ever winning a national election unless they keep as many people as possible from voting and keep the rest of them confused enough to vote against their own best interests.
South Carolina had unusually high numbers of black voters turn out last Tuesday. If you are a Republican, be afraid, be very afraid.
I might just live long enough to see South Carolina go blue for at least one election. That would be a sure sign of end times.
Blacks and Latinos put Trump in the White House by not voting in 2016. If you love Trump, stay home on election day. You can bet almost every one of his “base” will turn out. Don’t let the minority win.

I have never seen people so angry at a president or a human even.
As far as I can tell Trump is dead in the water and Repubs will go down with him.
