I think the more important question is “Why would the league president be calling me… in the middle of the night?!”

Sally sure has lots to learn about telephone etiquette.

Sally is always sabotaging her brother’s life. She sent back all the letters addressed to Brownie Charles.

This has been my experience with households who allow young kids to pick up the phone. They don’t listen to a word you say, and hang up on you rather than ask an adult to take the call.

Well, just hit *69 and call back. Oh, wait.

Thought there’d be something about the Easter Beagle by now.

Bad news: No caller ID back in those days. Good news: no robocallers.

Why would Sally be awake? As the younger sister, wouldn’t she have an earlier bedtime?

Oh oh. I see defeat being snatched from the jaws of victory. Don’t stand for any fake news from some self-proclaimed “league president” Charlie Brown. He’s probably the disgruntled dad of one of the sorehead kids on the losing team.

My guess is Rerun will be determined ineligible. The game is forfeited or replayed.

I never thought Sally had so many hangups!

It’s ok to hang up on the phone, be it anyone. Nothing is better than a goodnight sleep after the elusive win.
