the opposing team must be sore losers

That opposing manager must be a sore loser.

Charles, you show more class than the other manager.

He’s embarrassed to have lost to you.

And this after they won the Stanley Cup.

You would think that one of the team would come and check on Charlie and wonder why he’s still there…

Poor ol’ Charlie Brown… even when he wins, he loses.

CB, do the words: “A cold day in Hell” mean anything to you?

Poor Charlie Brown, he can never catch a break.

Wait until the mornin’ light, eh CB? Good grief!

So “Charlie Brownish” today.

How rude…

Maybe the opposing manager was Trump as a kid.

The truth is, Charlie Brown is the nicest person in the comic strip. (In one of the very early strips, before his personality was fully formed, he actually insulted someone else. It’s notable for how completely out of character that now looks.)

You know, Chuck, sometimes I think you’re too smug when you have a victory.

Your oponent was a bad loser.

Very poor sportsmanship!

Several years ago my son was a manager of a little league team that was in one of the two Rocklin, CA little leagues. Each year the two Rocklin little league champs would play each other for the title of the best Rocklin little league team. A trophy, “The Rock” was given to the winning manager. The other manager was a veteran and aggressive little league manager and the league his team was in had won “The Rock” consistently for many years. My sons team came in the underdog and spanked the other team, beating them badly. As normal, when a game is over the teams line up, shake hands as does the managers. Well this sore loser not only would not shake my sons hand, but immediately herded his players off the field so as not to give congratulatory hand shakes to my sons team. I loved seeing the “The Rock” sitting on my sons mantel for the year while the other coach was pouting over his loss.

Not everyone values sportsmanship as much as Charlie.

Actually, you’re going to wait for the sandlot league commisioner to come by.

I love Snoopy’s expression in the first panel.

How sad!

Even when Charlie Brown wins he loses.

Shouldn’t both teams be lining up and shaking hands with each other?

That’s poor sportsmanship!

You dont have to wait for the loser manager. He must be a typical loser.
