This administration demanded that some US citizens who were in quarantine (one source I heard said “actually infected”) be brought home, sharing the airliner cabin with uninfected folks. Assuming there were 100 uninfected folks in that cabin, that probably means that this administration gave a death sentence to someone.

Bonespurs has emptied pretty much agency of qualified personnel. Reagan said government was the enemy, Bonespurs is in agreement, siding with Kim, Putin, and every other true enemy of America to attack and kill it.

Had a well-structured national health care system been in place, maybe we would have had a better means to deal with this potential crisis before it becomes a pandemic. Will we get another chance after this? The Flu Epidemic after World War One was just slightly over 100 years ago. There have been several “lesser” ones since. Although we have the medical means to care for victims once they are infected and dying, we will never have the means to stop epidemics if we don’t have a solid detection system. It would have to be world-wide, an enhanced WHO.

Why can’t the United States be a strong leader as it once was? The Trump administration, in its strange de-funding moves and anti-science attitude in general, seems to be on the sides of viruses and microbes. (On a macro scale, they are aligned Putin and other despots, of course.)

I saw Anthony Fauci, Director of NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease) in the hall of Bldg 31 the other day. He has aged a lot recently, and one can understand why.
