While Bernie Sanders is certainly a threat to Mike Bloomberg, the freight train that derailed the Bloomberg express Wednesday night was Warrior Warren (or Wonder Woman).

It was Elizabeth Warren, not Bernie Sanders, who had the big night, and who took a powerful billionaire and reduced him to a whimpering mass of helpless leftovers.

Some of the memes I’ve seen in the wake of Elizabeth Warren’s total skewering of Michael Bloomberg, and her total domination of Wednesday’s debate:

Bloomberg got STOPPED AND FRISKED by Elizabeth Warren.

Bloomberg wishes that what happened in Vegas would stay in Vegas.

Survivor was on Wednesday night, and Bloomberg got voted off the island.

With apologies to Helen Reddy … I am WARREN hear me roar.

I keep hearing about these commercials Bloomberg has paid for with his own money…I haven’t seen one yet though.

Four years ago I voted in the primary for Bernie.

Today my primary ballot is marked for Warren.

She’s smart, and she has a plan.

While every other candidate mouths assurances that their people are aware of (insert issue here) and have the matter under close scrutiny for possible consideration in the future . . . (yadda, yadda).

    She has a plan.

It is not lost on me that having a smart, competent woman defeat Donald Jessica Trump would be most humiliating to His Accidency – (just before the televised perp walk to Rikers)

So I guess you could say I have a plan, too.

Warren did the work. Sanders looks to get the advantage. They make a good team, don’t they?

Hey Walter Kocker, Your “Plan” is to throw your vote away. Elizabeth Warren doesn’t have a chance. She has been exposed as the phony she is (part Indian, my kids didn’t go to private schools, lost her job due to pregnancy etc.) Besides, what do you think will happen when she passes Medicare for All, and “forgives” student loans. Those loans don’t go away, they get passed on to you and me. This year vote smart. Vote Trump 2020!

    — The first time they met was in Germany. President Trump took his interpreter’s notes afterward and ordered him not to disclose what he heard to anyone. Later that night, at a dinner, Mr. Trump pulled up a seat next to President Vladimir V. Putin to talk without any American witnesses at all.Their third encounter was in Vietnam when Mr. Trump seemed to take Mr. Putin’s word that he had not interfered in American elections. A formal summit meeting followed in Helsinki, Finland, where the two leaders kicked out everyone but the interpreters. Most recently, they chatted in Buenos Aires after Mr. Trump said they would not meet because of Russian aggression.Mr. Trump has adamantly insisted there was “no collusion” with Russia during his 2016 presidential campaign. But each of the five times he has met with Mr. Putin since taking office, he has fueled suspicions about their relationship. The unusually secretive way he has handled these meetings has left many in his own administration guessing what happened and piqued the interest of investigators.“What’s disconcerting is the desire to hide information from your own team,” said Andrew S. Weiss, who was a Russia adviser to President Bill Clinton. “The fact that Trump didn’t want the State Department or members of the White House team to know what he was talking with Putin about suggests it was not about advancing our country’s national interest but something more problematic.”

Vladimir Putin has embarked on a sweeping reshuffle of Russia’s leadership, accepting the resignation of Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev and proposing constitutional amendments that would enable him to hold onto power even after leaving the presidency in 2024.In a surprise move, Russia’s government said it would resign in full just hours after Putin announced plans for a national referendum that would shift power away from a successor to the presidency.Putin’s shakeup sent shock waves through Russia’s political elites, who were left pondering what his intentions were and speculating about future cabinet appointments. The president is laying the groundwork as he prepares for a transition in 2024 that analysts say will likely see him abandon the presidency but remain Russia’s dominant politician in a beefed-up role as Russia’s prime minister or in the government’s State Council instead. The 67-year-old has in effect ruled Russia since 2000, making him the longest-serving leader since Stalin, and what he plans to do in 2024 remains the most important political question in the country. In a televised speech before senior officials, Putin suggested amending Russia’s constitution to limit a future president to two terms in office – he has served four – tightening residency requirements for presidential candidates, and letting parliament choose candidates for prime minister and the cabinet, in effect weakening the presidency.
