Just grab his ankles, pull him forward, and let gravity do the rest. Oh, and you might want to put some pillows on the floor too, gravity is unforgiving.
Don’t… do it the way Nelson did.. with a reverse somersault. Your best bet is for Opal to pull on your feet, tip the chair.. and duck as you fly over her.
A cereal comment. Years ago I read that a scientific team fed rats various breakfast cereals to see which were healthiest. The rats that were fed only Cheerios did the best. Cheerios has been my main breakfast cereal ever since. Not sure why Cheerios has not seemed to use this wonderful result in their advertising.
he needs her help to get up, just like I did when I slid off this old slippery leather couch and slept there overnight. In the AM I crawled to get to a low stool so I could push myself up by leaning on the stool

What does the breakfast of champions have to do with this situation? Guess I’ll have to wait until tomorrow.

Easy, push your heels against the back of the chair, after asking Pearl for a pillow under your head. It can be tricky, however.

I was noticing how much the portable engine puller in the garage resembles a medical man-lift…

I remember doing that… getting in was a whole lot easier than getting out (which involved a total loss of dignity)

That’s good for blood circulation to the head!

Just tip the chair over. He’ll land on the floor and you can deal with that.
