He knew he was going to get torched, no surprise. . . he was smart to take it, and not lash back or defend himself too strongly . . . don’t add fuel and the fire will die down to a whimpering flame…
Welcome to a primary. That’s what supposed to happen: one’s weaknesses are exploited and one’s strengths are praised. Better to know Bloomberg’s and everyone else’s weaknesses before Trump exploits it in the General Election. I haven’t seen Knives Out but I’m confident Bloomberg is not a victim in this political story line.
To paraphrase a line from a movie. Bloomberg walked into a knife fight…and didn’t bring a knife. Considering how much political baggage he carries with him he was either very naive or very arrogant to not be better prepared.
He can outspend Trump and Trump’s allies by a huge factor with his 62 billion dollarinos. Now, he will need to punch up his enthusiasm, his passion and hire some writers. Trump can tell jokes—well, he is a joke— and people just want to be entertained. Make us laugh and we’ll gladly give up our freedoms.
“The presidential campaign at this strange moment is a bonfire of the boroughs: a nasty, hate-throuple of white, male, septuagenarian New York politicians who have little use for traditional parties and regard themselves as creators and leaders of their own outsider movements. All three have the go-the-distance wallets — either their own or their online supporters’ — that other contenders cannot match.
…
The civil way to settle this is to put Trump, Sanders and Bloomberg on a Broadway park bench and let them argue politics while they feed the pigeons. It would be a New York tableau to remember. But we aren’t going to get that lucky."
Funny to watch. All the others are scared to death of a newcomer with cash. People need to understand that these are not debates. Just people saying “I’m not much, but I am better than these others bums”. Sad.

Bloomberg’s buying his way into the field of Democratic candidates didn’t go over too well last night.

it’s called vetting. Explain yourself, ideally with eloquence. See JFK and Obama for examples of grace under pressure.

Men just have to learn that these kinds of actions are unacceptable. They should respect women as they do themselves!!
