All this talk of someone “buying the election” is nonsense. In the end, no matter how much Mr. Bloomberg spends, primary voters still are independent and have to cast their votes for him in order for him to win. If he was paying off the voters, then I can understand the claim that he is buying an election. And if it bothers you that he is self-funded, would you feel better if three other billionaires were backing him? Twenty? One thousand? What exactly is the magic number of backers to have him meet “the standard?” In some way isn’t it better for him not to be beholden to financial backers?

Problem with this is that they are ALL Wall street friendly billionaires! Have you seen any street people running for President? You never will.

The way you (and we) pick those to lead our country is truly bizarre. No reputable successful company would pick their CEO’s in the manner we pick those to run our country.

If Bloomberg wins the nomination….. as a blue candidate, I will vote for him.

But, I would so rather have Sanders be the nominee! We do not need “centrist” democrats anymore who are almost Republican in their mindset of taking “care of” the nation on the backs of the middle class and cow-towing to big business. We instead need Sanders, IMO, because he will be focused on infrastructure, health care, and all of the non-Republican ideas of helping to better society.

The difference between Trump, Schultz and Steyer and Bloomberg is that the latter has actualy governing experience – experience beyond the for-profit boardroom. NEVER confuse a corporation with a nation. Their function and purpose MUST be different.
