Don’t the 3 stooges who concoct these strips know that gavels are not used in British courts?

I admire the counsel’s regard for the common weal.

Defence counsel has run out of excuses.

Maybe he was prosecuting Andy for a different case on a different day and just forgot.

Maybe Smythe has never been in court; I know I haven’t.

Perhaps it was an attempt at reverse pyshcology. Probably wouldn’t work anyway when everyone is thinking, ‘Give me one reason not to lock ’im up and throw away the key’.

So many barristers, so much money owed.

And I thought it was going to be his wife!
