The right wing marching orders are, of course, to stir up the (very) base and split up the democrats. Nice try.

(Well, okay, not really a “nice” try. More “silly”)

Right Wing concern trolls are working full time to demoralize and split the Democratic base while ignoring the autocratic squelching of their own primary candidates by Demented Don the Despot.

The Dems stiffed their renegade in 2016, too bad the Rethuglicons didn’t also.

trump has infected far more folk with his insidious virus.. As daft as the public is at times.. to throw their lot in with trump is really something future historians/psychiatrists will wonder about.

Bernie isn’t a virus. He’s just a man who knows how to spin a story.

Yes, the DNC “rigged” the election for Hillary- They believed that she would be most likely to win and she had been a loyal participant in Democratic politics for decades. They put all their muscle behind her and that worked against Bernie, almost certainly causing him to be defeated. She would have been a good president. Compared to Trump, she would have been a great president. And, she did win, by three million votes, just not in the states than have heard nothing other than Republican propaganda for decades.

. The thing is the DNC is a private organization. It has no responsibility to represent the voters. It sponsors the candidate it prefers. The organization preferred Hillary. To be upset about that fact is to misunderstand that the parties exist to push their agenda, and to support the candidates that they believe will further that agenda. If you agree with their agenda, then support them. If you don’t support their agenda, then that would be a dumb thing to do, because they don’t represent you, they never promised to do so, and they have no responsibility to you. And, it doesn’t make any more sense to allow them to determine your opinion of any candidate than it would if it were your local YMCA. For that, you need to actually do a little research ( try Open Secrets) and find out who does best represent your opinions. But, most Bernie supporters, myself among them, actually agree with about 95% of the Democratic party agenda. And, most of them disagree with roughly 1000% of the Republican agenda. When a Bernie supporter says that they will refuse to vote for anyone else, which it is reported that 15% of Bernie supporters actually did in 2016, that is the epitome of stupid. Those 15% would have given us President Hillary and if anyone tells me they think that wouldn’t be any better than Trump, they are either lying, shilling for the Republicans or completely put of touch with reality.

Bernie Sanders is not now, nor has he ever BEEN a democrat. The D.N.C.allowed him to run on their ticket in 2016, because they were afraid he would “split” the party and allow a republican to win, which they did, anyway. Fast forward to 2020 and once again Sanders is running on the democratic “dime” while still refusing to become a democrat. Sanders, refers to himself as a “Democratic Socialist”. Note the second word in his self-description. This word is what the R.N.C. and Trump glomed onto and it is that characterization that they will beat Sanders and the democrats over the head with every day until the election if Sanders is chosen to represent the democrats in the election.

The republican base is too stupid (along with their titular leader, Trump) to understand the differences between a “socialist” and a “communist” which explains why Trump keeps referring to Sanders as a communist.

Now, I’m intelligent enough to appreciate all the differences between a “socialist” and a “communist”, so I would be okay with a “socialist” as my parties leader going into the election, but ALL that most of the American electorate would hear from the Trumpian party would be “socialist” and “communist” which might make defeating Trump problematic.

And, for whatever it’s worth, republican strategists are privately admitting they want to run against Bernie because they see him as easiest to beat of all the democratic contenders. (and, yes, I understand that believing ANYTHING a republican tells you is setting oneself up for a “screwing”, but I’ve heard their descriptions of the ad campaigns aimed at middle America against Bernie – and they aren’t ‘pretty’.)

I have my preferences, but I’m not saying anything that could be construed as negative about any of the Democratic candidates. Whoever gets the nomination I will support.
