The road less traveled may be a very rocky road (at least for a while) – tread carefully.

History rewards those that dare travel that road. Perhaps not in his lifetime as it may take several generations to undo trumps folly.. but eventually…..

And I’ll never trust guys like RMoney. Probably just culling the herd for a try at tRump Lite. Another billionaire whi’s “just like us!” (either side of the aisle) and that description fits him to a $950 tee-shirt just like his wife’s from the last campaign.

if your conscience is determined by your faith then we understand why Trump doesn’t have any faith because he doesn’t have a conscience

I have long held very different views from Mitt Romney regarding his religious beliefs and his ethics in both business and politics, but in the impeachment trial he revealed a deeper, more honorable side of himself.

Like Trump, Romney inherited wealth, privilege and advantage from his father, George Romney, who had been president of a Detroit auto manufacturer before becoming a popular progressive three-time governor of Michigan, where he brokered deals between unions and auto manufacturers. George Romney had been the Republican front-runner for the 1968 presidential nomination until he took principled moral stands in favor of civil rights and against the Vietnam war and became a pariah.

Mitt built his wealth as a vulture capitalist, taking over companies, sucking out the value, and letting tens of thousands of people lose their jobs and face major disruptions of their lives. He inherited his wealth from Daddy, like Trump, but unlike Trump multiplied its value to many times what he inherited.

As a politician, he was (like his father) a progressive Republican who won the governorship of liberal Massachusetts being pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ equal rights (Massachusetts was the first state to legalize marriage equality) and, with Ted Kennedy, developing Romneycare which would later serve as a model for Obamacare, which was written by many of those who developed the Massachusetts plan.

    continued

Really excellent. (Note that Mr. Benson is so good at caricature that no labels are necessary.)

This is the ‘perfect’ depiction of what happened when Trump was falsely acquitted! I am from MA and get a lot of crap about that. My feelings on Romney were negative until he spoke the other day. He, like McCain did what they believed to be right for the country. Trump continues badmouthing McCain even though he has passed. He put him down for being caught and suffering as a POW while he sat at home with bone spurs (doubt they were real). Romney does deserve a lot of credit for what he did. I love all the elephants following each other over the cliff!! I seriously hope that voters who realize what is going on get out and vote. I have been ready since the last election.

I think they’re committing political suicide. Obviously Benson thinks that. But I’m worried that there are so many Trumpublican voters that those Gross Old Perverts will actually survive to hurt the nation again.

Chairman of the Conservative Political Action Conference Matt Schlapp told Greta Van Susteren on ‘Full Court Press’, “We won’t credential him as a conservative. I suppose if he wants to come as a non-conservative and debate an issue with us, maybe in the future we would have him come.”

He added: “This year, I would actually be afraid for his physical safety, people are so mad at him.”

The suggestion of potential violence stuck out even in an onslaught of criticism of Romney, drawing rebukes. “Closer and closer to saying the quiet part loud.” — Rick Wilson, prominent “Never Trump” Republican and media consultant.

Accurate portrayal of “lemmophants”. The party under Bonespurs has become a new, self-destructive species.

Except that when Mitt came to that fork in the road, he took both of them (convict on abuse of power, acquit on obstruction of Congress) — a classic “split the difference” shilly-shally.
