When I was a kid in the 60s, I went to a YMCA summer day camp. The last day they had a kind of Olympics. One event was boys against girls, you had to run 20 yards to a table and eat a candy apple as fast as you could. Boys went charging down, grab the apples and laid into them only to find they were candy onions instead! Magnificent.
