Sometimes I would I find my dog on the floor with food that I could see no possible way she could have gotten. Dogs are diabolical when it comes to accessing food.
The last really neat disappearing food trick in our house was an entire angel food cake, removed from the kitchen counter, which vanished without a trace, except for two very swollen tummies on 2 dogs that didn’t want to move for several hours. One of the 2 dogs was very adept at jumping, for example a vertical leap that left her sitting on the lid of an antique Singer sewing machine.

Doesn’t work with cats.
And judging by the last panel, doesn’t work with really determined and intelligent dogs.

We once found the Stratfordshire/Beagle mix on top of the refrigerator.
