It seems impossible for Calvin to actually make good decisions.

There are many people in politics and government who could learn a lesson from this strip.

Calvin is learning the “unintended consequences” aspect of decision making.

Remembering is MUCH stronger if trauma is involved. Boys made to witness a transaction, then whipped, were admissible in court as witnesses when needed later.

Robert Frost took the road less traveled by.

Calvin makes a bigger difference and takes the ledge.

My regret is that by growing up in Florida, all the places I’d ride my “sidewalk cars” I made were flat or a gentle slope at best, so I never learned through experience to make the good decisions.

Also, I love how Calvin can comprehend such esoteric concepts, yet gives math answers like “eleventeen” and “thirtyseven-detwo”.

“I note, with some dismay,” Hobbes said, peering over the edge of the airborne wagon, “you’ve chosen to jump the ledge.” <—- Great lines in this classic comic. I definitely missed a lot of its subtlety reading as a kid.
