Of course, all the months that contain the letter “R” are consecutive, September through April.

A simple way of saying don’t eat oysters when the weather is warm. I guess they were more likely to be contaminated with pathogens during this time.

Technically, Scott didn’t tell them that he wasn’t in pain. They read his mind.

I always thought it was the other way round, don’t eat them on months with ‘R’. I never paid attention either way. I saw a documentary where they reproduced the Lascaux caverns with paintings to allow tourists to see them without destroying the originals which are decaying.

The artist wasn’t as spry as when he was 19,000 years younger.

Eating oysters in cooler weather had more to do with pre-refrigeration than with oyster farming. Similarly, having oysters served with a wedge of lemon was to use the lemon to cover the taste of oysters that are turning. Even though that is mostly unnecessary in modern times, still the tradition holds resulting in most people losing out on the wonderful but subtle flavor of fresh oysters without the useless taste of lemon covering it up.

That would mean no oyster consuming for May through August.

There’s another kind of dating system to try to disprove creation.

Take care and may God bless.

I believe that George R. R. Martin is descended from those cave painters.

Used to eat raw oysters with a neighbour friend. Then my friend came down with hepatitis. Now I do not eat any shellfish.

The only good oyster is a smoked oyster, but they are darn hard to keep lit.

the months with no R are May, June, July, and August. Isn’t it easier to just tell them to avoid eating oysters in the summer?

This ought to placate your ignorance: the second word of the second sentence in your response is incorrect. You are using “its” as a contraction, in this case an abbreviated way of saying “it is,” not as a possessive…therefore it requires the placement of an apostrophe between the letter t and the letter s. No doubt you will now say something snarky…or blame this whole thing on the typographical omission of that cursed apostrophe.
