Oh, unknown buck-toothed woman we have never seen before, you are too late. Connie, Annie, and Carol did that same joke with Elly back in October.

Yup, Elly. This is a bunch of mid-life ladies, not the usual spring chicken ones. I think I spied a few grandmothers, perhaps? After all I am a mid-life grandmother of two. Lately my version of baby showers have been for my children and their cousins.

I don’t know how old Elly is supposed to be, but I was 40 when my only child was born. My co-workers and my church friends both gave me baby showers. No one mentioned my age. I guess they knew better. lol

Ouch! Was that a left handed compliment? Sort of sounded like a Dixie compliment.(The words sound nice but they sting.)

3 panels of Carol Enjo with slant eyes. Yesterday it was only 2 out of 3 panels. Lynn Johnston is wildly inconsistent with this. The last time Carol Enjo appeared with the giant pumpkin story last October, there were no slant eyes the entire week. If there was anything Lynn Johnston should redraw in the reprints, it should be this. Add this to drawing in seat belts and bicycle helmets.

I had two baby showers with my son, one for family and friends and one at work. The one at work was magical and wonderful. The one for friends was lonely – only my mother and her best friend showed up besides the hostess.
