I am confused, aren’t you?

Bolton might possibly do one heroic thing.

Even if he accomplishes that one thing, he is not a hero.

War mongering neo con Bolton is just to the left of orange Hitler.

I don’t know anyone on the left that admires Bolton or calls him a hero. They just think he’s right in this ONE situation.

Nothing confusing… The Left still knows that Bolton is a Right Wing war monger… never was a question there… But at least he is still a patriot… he still believes in laws and the constitution… at least he still has some self respect and dignity. Its a shame that that is what we are calling an American Hero… but alas that is where this country is now thanks to the troll in the White House. He has rotted everything he has touched. Including the GOP and half of this country.

Bolton is not a left-wing hero; he’s just one of the few right-wingers who still understand that a lie is still a lie and IF you lie, you’re betraying whatever principles you’ve chosen to live by!

Bolton discovered that Trump HAD NO PRINCIPLES, and that is principally what Bolton’s upcoming book is about. Bolton thought the total lack of any kind of principled stand on any of the issues of the day was worthy of note and possibly also of a book, given that he’d already ‘penned’ several.

To John Bolton, a totally ‘transactional’ stance toward ALL the issues faced by a president was absolutely unique as was having a president who had very few notions of how the world works and took most of his advice from television pundits.

I do not care for John Bolton’s politics, but I know him to be a basically honest man, albeit with extreme views in certain areas

Let’s not forget that Bolton had no problems lying early this century. I guess by his ethics it’s okay to lie if it helps start a war.

i don’t think anyone on the left is calling Bolton a hero, we are just a bit surprised that he might actually have some integrity — maybe, he hasn’t really done anything, yet.

Sigh. Once again YET again, the current resident ALREADY confessed (in public!) with the transcript of the phone call. Mulvaney ALREADY confessed (in public) while whining like the pathetic crybaby he is, that we should just “get over it.” ALL the witnesses at the House hearing corroborated what we ALREADY knew. Bolton is, was, and always will be irrelevant.

Bolton is a “hero” the same way coal is “clean”. There is a HUGE difference between “good” and “not as bad”.

Bolton has no integrity at all. If he has relevant evidence, on either side of the question, he should bring it forward. He has shown and he continues to show that he has no regard for the interests of the country.

Bolton is convinced of his own infallibility and seems to put his interests above all else. That may be why even his neighbors have been fairly blunt in their very uncomplimentary assessments of him, but I have heard that he is someone who doesn’t let go and who will tangle with anyone. In this case, maybe Trump will get what he deserves, a blowback from someone who is just as intellectually arrogant but much more intelligent.

Democrats haven’t absolved Bolton of who he is. Bolton is still a Conservative, war-mongering a-hole, but he’s not a Trump Cultist. Bolton refuses to drink the warm, yellow, unsweetened drink his peers have cheerfully partaken. Bolton doesn’t think the Cult of Trump is compatible with his own Conservative values and isn’t afraid to voice that.

Actually the correct signage for the Democrats would be “Bolton: he’s an a**hole but not that much of an a**hole”
