EVERY ONE is FAR too true to be funny… especially the Lev Parnas tweet in the upper right corner of the main panel…

Doonesbury has always been a strip to speak out on current events. Trudeau isn’t going to stop now with the current White House occupant! My goodness, it is comedy gold, while it is also tragic. Of course, those who don’t appreciate Trudeau are free to not read him. It is a free country. For now.

Gary Trudeau’s legacy is already the equivalent of Walt Kelly’s. I am so glad Doonesbury has been part of my life from the get-go. Bill Watterson is a close third. They are each timeless because they unerringly home in on our fatal flaws.

In a work of fiction, a license to kill was granted by the government of the United Kingdom to James Bond. By acquitting President Trump, the Senate of the United States granted President Trump a license to be an autocrat. Since autocrats demand loyalty, Trump fired Joseph Maguire and then replaced Maguire with Richard Grenell whose only qualification is loyalty.

You know, I am thinking, all in all, the foundations or our government are holding up pretty good. There are some countries where the Chairman of the JCS would be in charge by now.

Ah, Ayn Rand, who railed against “parasites” living off the government. Until she got lung cancer from her own lousy life choices and needed Social Security and Medicare to keep herself from becoming homeless.

PLEASE, when putting up Roland’s tweets, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, use a larger and bolder font, or put the text into an actually readable legend below. This tiny, thin, spidery font does NOT translate into anything readable with eye problems. Blown up it blurs. Not enlarged it just looks like bird tracks in snow. And, yes, I DO have glasses and magnifier, and I see my eye specialists 4 times a year on the good years. What is currently being used just is NOT font that can be read with any number of the woes eyes can accumulate.
