First of all Roberts has not the power. Secondly Roberts proved that he too is a Republican when he admonished both sides for their decorum when the Republicans were most often the instigators of the verbal jousting. (When you can’t attack the facts, attack the messengers delivering them.)

And, this is an example of the B.S. that the TRAITOR TRUMP’S lawyers are spreading…

Moscow Mitch will just get the Republican herd to vote en mass. No need for Republicans to think or be independent in any way, if you want to keep covering up GOP crimes.

Trying to make the two look equally bad again? All you have to do is WATCH THE PROCEEDINGS.

The Democrats have a strong case, with lots of evidence, well formulated and carefully proposed.

The Republicans are whining, resisting, blocking, and pretending it doesn’t matter, offered in childish ways.

Why? Because the GOP knows doggoned well that #45 is GUILTY, and so are a lot of them, notably Moscow Mitch. All they have left to them is pettifoggery.

    VOTE BLUE 2020

Remove the GOP from every gov office in the land. Make the GOP disappear from politics. Make the Repugnicants political label so shameful that no one will want to be called Republican.

    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.!

He certainly laid down the law – but he did do it politely and actually used the word “Pettifoggery” in his admonishment.

Equating the two is not fairness, not balance, but laziness.

    Asserting equivalence benefits the malefactor.

Well, people, we’re pretty much screwed. If Trump were to be removed from office, we’d end up with Pence. Because Pence is not such a blatant criminal goober, he’d be a relief and he’d probably get elected in 2020. Of course, the Orangutan may be relected in 2020 after which there will be a USA in name only. VOTE in the last free election we may ever have. Vote thoughtfully, because niche voting or snit voting will be a vote for Trump. Help young people and friends register to vote if they haven’t. Check your voting registration status monthly, because the Republicans are working hard to “purge” the voter rolls. If you have moved, be sure your address is updated. Trump and the Trumpublican Party are an existential threat to America.

Gotta agree with the signpost. Cannot agree that Roberts is in the driver’s seat. That would be #MoscowMitch… who’s on a short leash held by some‍body (Putin as like as not).

Sorry, but Roberts doesn’t have that ability. All he can do is “Sit down, shut up, and rule the way the Republicans tell him to.”

Now there’s a word you don’t hear every day: pettifoggery!

The car is certainly mislabeled. It should be REMOVE FROM OFFICE, not IMPEACHMENT. The House has impeached the SOB. That’s a done deal. The Senate’s relationship with impeachment is the same as a jury’s relationship with indictment. The issue at hand is “Guilt/Innocence,” (“Remove from Office”/“Don’t Remove from Office”) NOT impeachment. Onlookers are ignorant enough (not to mention those following events in the media). We should not confuse them further, particularly as they decide how to vote.

Even if he did pull over, the Trumpsters would vote to overrule him.
