Remind me again: which one was a frequent flier to Epstein Island, which one covered up rape allegations at Baylor & which one took a campaign contribution, then dropped a lawsuit against the donor?

@Rule of Distraction: Indeed, we could talk about a lot of things to try and keep our minds off the fact that Republicans are choosing to defend the indefensible rather than uphold their oaths of service to the American people.

    But we won’t.

And, just as a side note: Donald Trump delivered remarks at a private dinner with wealthy donors Friday night at Mar-a-Lago, and as the Washington Post reported, the president shared some thoughts about the nation’s finances.

To those who criticized his spending and the growing national debt, Trump said: “Who the hell cares about the budget? We’re going to have a country.”For most of President Barack Obama’s time in office, Republicans seemed to care very much about the budget, making fears around the national debt and deficit their top talking point. They’ve backed off those concerns under Trump.

The Republican’s comments came just four days after the Trump administration reported that the annual budget deficit surpassed $1 trillion in 2019, despite the growing economy, and despite the fact that Trump promised voters he’d produce the opposite results.

Isn’t it funny that trolls like ROH ALWAYS accuse people who don’t agree with their blind support of The Treasonweasel of being “Russian Trolls”, when it’s the RUSSIANS THAT ARE SUPPORTING TRUMP??

Someone should try to crowbar it into his cranium that the “Russian Trolls” would be SUPPORTING trump, NOT making logical, accurate, and concise arguments as to why he IS a traitor! But then again, for anyone who still supports The Treasonweasel, logic is NOT their strong point, is it?

ROH, since when is it the responsibility of the POTUS to investigate illegal activity by US citizens in foreign countries. The FBI it seems would be the first agency to notify.

Um, honorable people are open-minded and fair enough to research issues and accusations, then fairly consider one’s biases in light of facts. Then they revise their opinions. Not happening, give it up.

Crimmnny…. I agree that r of h is annoying in the extreme….however, when I first started reading the comments here, one of the commentators explained about paid foreign trolls. She/He/They showed that commenting under their threads gave those trolls leader board prominence. It made the troll the first thing readers see. Is that what you all want?

Trump does not care about ending corruption, he wants to be able to use it to make more money. He fills the whitehouse with the most inappropriate people for the jobs (Devos, Carson for example) plus most of his family. He is pushing to remove the rules against bribery when bidding for contracts overseas.

Just like with Hilary Clinton, the Republicans will investigate the Bidens hundreds of times wasting tax payers money and finding nothing just to sew seeds of doubt. It’s pathetic and undemocratic.

This is in response to a troll in a thread. Yes – someone actually asked this question that most people know the answer to: Which terrorists/dictators/enemies did Trump invite to the White House?

Let me guess – I’ll list them and then you’ll either say it never happened or that they are not terrorists/dictators/enemies. Right off I can point to numerous sources for Trump inviting Putin, Duterte and Erdoğan to the White House. I even found sources saying Kim Jong Un was invited. He was definitely invited by Trump to the USA and it looked like Un confirmed Trump invited him to the White House at a Press conference while both were in North Korea.

Have you seen Dershowitz’s book on why Trump should not be impeached? He actually says that Trump could allow Putin to grab away Alaska due to it formerly belonging to Russia and that offense would not be impeachable.

He also ignores that Article II, section 4 of the Constitution, after naming specific reasons for impeachment then gives flexibility by mentioning “other high crimes and misdemeanors”. In fact, without those words Clinton woould not have been able to be impeached (though the limits of the legal definition of sex caused him to be found innocent). The reason Dershowitz wants to ignore those words is to disarm the obstruction charge, of course, given that the entire nation witnessed many incidences of obstruction by Trump.

Oh, and he further wrote that tyrannical actions are not cause for impeachment.

    See: (https://books.google.com/books?id=afaBDwAAQBAJ&q=alaska#v=snippet&q=alaska&f=false )

Of course, the Government Accountability Office DID say that Trump committed a specific crime.
