    Deadly accurate!

We have these amazing things people could only dream of just 40 years ago, and we whine and moan about the tiniest inconvenience with them.

I do not want anyone telling me my future and I do not want anyone ruining the ending of any book that I am reading for the same reason.

We internet pioneers smile at the poor internet citizens of today who were born with Wi Fi. How could they imagine life with only dial phones, pagers, mimeographs and white out?

I read years ago about an accountant who bought a DOS accounting program. One day he got frustrated because it was taking 30 seconds to sort a file needed to generate a report. He had to laugh at himself when he realized it used to take half a day to get that information in order and here he was complaining about less than a minute.

No matter how much capacity the hardware provides, the coders will use it all up. VMS mainframe operating system was less than 5 MB. Now, a less capable one (except for media and graphics) is 3 orders of magnitude larger. Microsoft takes 1 line of XML and makes it into a 30 KB file. Software bloat is amazing.
