That’s because Donnie keeps breaking the law over and over again. Any other citizen would have been in the pokey a couple of years ago.

So Ramirez, you are making the use of multiple pens the equivalent of rape, money laundering, murder, child imprisonment, theft, theft from charities, libel, slander and a whole host of other laws. Nice to know you have no morals either.

Ramirez, it wasn’t the pen, it was the hand that held it.

And you still missed the point: Trump impeached himself. All he had to do was cooperate. Allow witnesses to speak.

    “Obstruction, what obstruction?”

Trump tried to arrange a hit on the Ukraine ambassador and you think a pen is the issue?

IT does need to call for impeachment over and over again. My goodness, Mike Trump is the poster boy for what the founders wrote the law for.

Thank you, Ramirez. You never disappoint. Always off point. At least she’s not selling the pens. Our bankruptcy guru is selling hats, plastic straws, Xmas wrapping paper, wooden trucks, cuff links, dog collars, fine art posters, plastic cups, playing cards, beach towels, and – oh my gosh – Official Donald J. Trump Fine Point Markers.

Presidents back to FDR have used multiple pens to sign important documents. What’s the big, hairy deal, here?

Ramirez is right; the pen calls for impeachment over and over and over. How many times has Trump been impeached now, 20-30 times?

Ramirez and his ilk are just depressed because Pelosi is not using a SHARPIE to tear apart the CONSTITUTION unlike the ORANGE DUNG currently in the White House.

I’ve seen quite a few people defending her demeanor and defending the pen ceremony. I hope someday that you will be able to look back and feel at least a touch of shame.

Impeachment is the single most serious domestic action Congress can ever take. It is not to be handled with frivolity and gaiety. It is solemn and somber, a time of great reflection and seriousness. The signing ceremony was a disgusting display of partisan celebration.

“Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country.” ~ Speaker Nancy Pelosi, March 11, 2019, Interview by Washington Post Magazine.

Nancy could have at least faked a frown.

I’ve never understood the multiple pen usage, to me it seems like silly theater.

That being said, Trump has continued this silly practice but he insists on gold-plated pens that retail for about $115 each.

The hypocrisy is as thick as a fog in San Francisco (see what I did there). She claims to be very sad (“no one comes to D.C. to impeach the President”) but then hands out souvenir pens, and poses with recipients for pictures. What a total fraud she is. BTW you hand out pens for things like Trump did this week, you know, real things that help Americans (deal with China etc). Good luck in the fall elections dumbacrats. You’re gonna get smoked if you run Biden or Bernie.

Here it is. Proof I am wrong. Nan tried and failed (see my thread above starting with “I’ve seen quite a few people…”). I had to help her find the evidence to put me in my place. A word to all of you on both sides. C-Span has an enormous searchable library of transcribed video, no edits, no BS, no bias. Straight feed with no spin https://www.c-span.org/ Why depend on media outlets or bloggers when you can get the full footage without commentary.

Go to 12:00 in the video and begin watching.

    https://www.c-span.org/video/?402916-1/house-speaker-paul-ryan-health-care-repeal-bill-signing-ceremony

In retrospect I suppose it makes sense that Speakers and those in the Senate do the multi-pen thing. I was naive to think that politicians would fail to grab onto this BS ceremonial garbage. I 100% agree with Nan that it is “silly theater” and would love to see it end. Fat chance of that.

With that said I stand fast in my opinion that using that ceremony to sign the Impeachment Articles, turning it into a celebratory event, was a grotesque travesty. Regardless of your opinion of the Impeachment itself Nancy should have at least faked solemn concern and grave displeasure over the single most important domestic action the House can ever take.

Trump is a problem, but Pence isn’t the solution. His head is even more messed up than Trumps. I fear the rise of the moron evangelicals and the neocons who love Israel more than America.

There is the factor of Repubtards screaming the Democrats are rushing this process, and simultaneously stalling it? And of course, who needs evidence, documentation, or witnesses at a trial? Oh, right, prohibit any exhibits and there’s no case. Just crime.
