Iran has been at war with the US since 1979, so that one is true. The press has largely abandoned anything resembling journalistic integrity, so that one, is valid imo. The toilet thing…well, there used to be a black market for full-flow toilets coming out of Canada. I wonder if you can still find those? Has anyone gotten to the fine print of the USMCA? I bet Trump sharpied in a requirement for Canadian toilets to be shipped to the US. :P
With trumps body build.. and his diet, it’s not hard to see why he has concerns about low flush toilets.. On the other hand.. it surprises me that he cares.. he has a willing team to clean up his messes that surely would include using a plunger.
1. “Iran has been at war with the US.” Well, OBAMA was finally getting that resolved until your buddy #45 screwed it up. But regardless – if you are at war with someone who doesn’t even notice you, it’s irrelevant.
2. The press has abandoned journalistic integrity? I see you have fully accepted the propaganda spewed out by politicians who don’t like getting caught.
I seem to remember Rand Paul publicly tilting at low-flow toilets a few years back. It seems to be a serious concern amongst the right. Turns out bathroom fixtures have just as hard a time swallowing their sh*t as the rest of us.
The toilet thing is a sop (hah!) for his base, who absolutely hate being told what to do by the goddam government which is run by a liberal conspiracy who are using this whole “environment” lie to steal our liberty and turn us all into slaves.
Not sarcasm: I do believe most of them would agree.
Here’s the funny part about all the jokes. Trump is rolling back the old restrictions on toilets, shower heads, dishwashers and other water using appliances. His exaggerations are obvious and sarcastic (which escapes the average liberal) but he is striking a note that cannot be denied.
Those of us over 50 (probably over 45) have fond memories of high pressure shower heads. The visceral joy of a hot pounding shower that was strong enough to actually impact tired aching muscles. Younger people don;t get it. I understand that. But as simple and silly as the press would have you believe, that memory cuts across all divisions. Race, gender, income, none of it matters. We ALL have fond memories and we ALL stop and wonder why the Clinton Administration did this to us.
It is a small thing, not terribly important in contrast to the challenges and problems of the day, but it resonates at a very basic level. When Trump talks about crappy shower heads he is speaking directly to every baby boomer in America, plus another 10 years or so.
This is a part of why Trump won in 2016 and why he will win again. He has a way of speaking directly to issues that have been handled poorly in the past. Handled with no common sense. Flow restrictions in California? OK, makes sense. In Chicago, with Lake Michigan waves breaking over the outer drive on stormy days? Good grief NO!.
It is a small thing, the water flow issue, but you mock it at your peril. Even the toilet jokes. Because we ALL have experienced the double flush dilemma. And us older folks remember when it was a rarity instead of a common occurrence. Trump offers common sense that appeals to far more people than you can imagine. Even you aging liberals with aching muscles.
The first generation of low-flow toilets did have problems. But this has been corrected with new developments since then. Dishwashers, washing machines, faucets have all been improved to use less water and still have pressure and clean properly.
Regulations often push manufacturers to make a better product.

Trump is better suited at interviewing appliances than talking with human beings.
