The governor has declared no guns in the area. Court refused to reverse the decree. Sort of. If you’re found with a weapon, you can’t bring it into the state house, but you can go carry it around on the streets. Nothing safer than a lot of passionate angry people with loaded weapons. A number of those who will be arriving have been banned in Charlottesville for life, but Richmond is a different story.
Interestingly and perhaps ironically, the local newspaper reported on the tenth anniversary of a guy shooting 8 people dead, mostly family nearby. At the time of the murder, neighbors and acquaintances said that everyone knew he was irrational, easily angered, and owned multiple weapons. But you can’t put ANY restrictions on guns, so all we can offer are thoughts and prayers, and dammit, that should be good enough.
I cannot imagine why they’re concerned. After all, the right wingers have been proving for several weeks that people with knives can kill more than one person during their rampage. And proving that a good guy with a gun can almost stop a crazy whacko with a gun. So everything is copacetic, surely, when a mix of angry, irrational, crazy, politically motivated and did I mention angry people gather together to egg each other on.
The gun rally’s a mecca for xenophobia, hate, and white nationalism wrapped around support for poor oppressed white guys seeing their dominance over U.S. politics evaporating before their eyes.
You can have all the guns you want, all you have to do is pass a psychological test every few years (the only ones that object are those that know they’d fail).
These uptight gun bearing right wing racist Trumpers are trying to start a civil war in Virginia on the Eve of Trump’s Senate Trial, coincidence? Not really.
Actually, let them have ALL the guns they want! No problem!! BUT, as for the AMMUNITION, on the other hand… $500 a box MINIMUM for ANY ammo, $400 of which is Taxes paid directly to the Treasury Department expressly for the purpose of paying down the National Debt, and no other purpose!
There were a few minor changes in the gun laws in Virginia that these right wing jackals threatened the government over. If you are that irresponsible that it makes you wear Nazi flags and strap guns all over your self maybe you should have your guns taken away.
Remember when the Black Panthers went to Gov Reagan’s Sacramento armed and the frightened rotten lying hypocrite Republicans changed the gun laws to restrict that kind of action?
