“Safe” isn’t something that mother nature offers. Civilization usually attempts to make things safe, at least for a preferred class; but even then, Gaia can wipe you out with a volcano, tornado, lightning (or meteor) strike. And of course our little internecine wars can do you in too.
This suggestion will only help a bit locally in the United States, but people might consider electing people on the basis of their concern for the “environment” – on a practical level, this means no more electing republicans at any level!
Republicans do not care a whit for the environment – never have – never will! If they have an “R” after their name, you may safely assume they are supportive of climate denying, at the very least and a vote for them at any level can be construed as a vote to destroy the world!
