He doesn’t lie. To do that he would have to understand the distinction between truth and lies, and he doesn’t. On the other hand, he has a huge number of admirers who apparently think that’s a good  thing. Amazingly.

It’s not really about strong political views. The people who left the Democratic party when they embraced Civil Rights were welcomed by the “Republicans” and they have nurtured the dark fear, anger, and resentment of the less educated, white supremacist, homophobic, xenophobic, misogynistic, nationalistic, along with the evangelical “Christians” who embrace the Old Testament while excluding many that the Christ would include. A motley crew these “Republicans” are with extreme and unsettling views on guns, abortion, LGBTQ, immigration, internationalization that the majority of Americans feel differently about, have exploited election law loopholes, packed courts with allies and successfully achieved minority rule in Congress to draft further laws and regulations to promote their cause while the “Democrats” have crumbled into a spineless heap unable to even defend themselves from the lies and disinformation being broadcasted content with showing that they can "get along " with the “Republicans” and will not do anything that will disrupt the status quo.

Unwilling to work together, the parties would rather destroy the country than communicate cooperate and compromise for We The Party but have to remain true to their parties’ “ideologies”. The “Democrats”, while attracting the blacks and other ethnic/religious minorities dare not actually do anything “progressive” to improve their status. The parties have broken our government and made it untrustworthy and we really need to stop thinking, wishing, hoping, and praying that they are going to fix it themselves. We the People have to insist on ending the EC, gerrymandering, prevent people from voting, eliminate winner-take-all elections and go to Ranked Choice Single Transfer Voting so that everyone in a government office is someone that the voters actually voted for. We The People need to take the government back from the ineffectual parties. No more “leaders” unable to lead.

This single editorial cartoon gets it 100% and depicts it perfectly. This is how it all works now.

The simple fact that this creature is still in office after what incalculable damage has been done to our society, our national security and our standing in the world, that he is still sustained by his political party, is far beyond belief. What has happened to our government which used to be the first to send aid to countries devastated by earthquakes or tsunamis, who armed our allies and led the efforts to free Europe from Nazi domination, who helped rebuild, and stood up against the Russian bid for hegemony? Why is this taking so long?

    Thank Goodness for his Stable Genius – {rhyme}

Trump is a “genius” who’s “very stable”?

Does THIS explain why the prez has been able

    to make America great? -

    - so our nation’s again first rate?

    - so we’re sailing so smoothly as a ship of state?

Well, you see, Trump has already declared himself King of the U.S.A., so he doesn’t need to be reelected.

Well I just read a news alert…….The Russian government has officially resigned today over Putin stating he wanted to change some things in their constitution. My question is…Has the Russian government just handed the entire government over to Putin on a silver platter? And is this a mirror image of what Trump wants to do to the US?

Pongo, you have been impeached. You have and will not be convicted by a Senate of your peers, but “impeached” means what the House of Reps. has done to you. It does not mean “found guilty”. You will always be #3 on a list no one wants to be on.

    “Prayers to Bargain”

If those with great wealth and power say their prayers each night,

I doubt they kneel by their bedsides and, as children might,

Ask blessings for close family and friends, and their pets,

Peace for the world, and if naughty, innocent regrets.

    .

They likely don’t pray and kneel lest they hurt stiff joints.

Instead lie awake in bed and review business points:

Their shrewd triumphs that day, the competitors bested,

The lawsuits in court their well-paid lawyers contested.

    .

Whereas most children sleep deeply and softly breathe,

Do rich adults with great worries hatch plots, and seethe

With revenge-filled fantasies that replace mild dreams,,

Their Sand Man sowing not peace but mean clever schemes?

    .

If a child repents being naughty, she might request

Through a prayer, “God, please make it not happened,” and then rest.

The sly adult might try to bargain intercession,

Not through God — through lawyers, without honest confession.

    .

Adults’ bad pasts can’t be changed by wild science technique,

Just made up for, somewhat, by actions humble and meek.

The first step must be by appropriate admission,

And then, truly constructive acts making contrition.
