70% of the American people would like to see a trial with wtnesses. Moscow Mitch does not want a trial, he wants to dismiss the case and exonerate crooked liar racist Trump. Then it goes to the Supreme court, then it goes to the voters.

An image of a rigged process. I will bet the GOP has already “determined” that our dictator is not guilty - after a long, impartial, and honest study of all facts…………………………..snerk

She’s waiting for the assurance of a fair trial. Moscow Mitch is trying to assure there won’t be one.

Moscow Mitch was the one pushing for the impeachment to be rushed. He wanted to get everything done before the end of 2019. Right after the House voted to impeach, Congress left for the holidays, so there was no point in sending the articles at that time.

MM has repeatedly said that he will cooperate and coordinate with Trump and the White House, which is a clear violation of his oath to the Constitution.

Oh, please. This is the wrong metaphor and the wrong message.

Let’s clarify: Moscow Mitch wants to RUSH through the trial with no witnesses and a quick dismissal.

Pelosi is using the tools she has to try and ensure a REAL trial, and if she can’t get that, then she is at least putting significant pressure on #45 AND Mitch politically (since #45 is pushing Mitch to get him “exonerated,” something which will never happen even if it does go through). Furthermore, every week that goes by reveals even MORE corruption and horrors from this administration, which enables the House to vote on even MORE articles of impeachment.

She’s trying to build an avalanche of impact.

It’s a sad commentary on America when most are represented by someone who doesn’t believe that a fair trial where both sides can call and cross-examine witnesses openly. The watergate hearings were an example where everything was laid out in front of us. Moscow Mitch wants to cover everything up.

I’m ashamed that we have become so degenerate and uncaring about our country.

Pelosi has announced that she’s giving up the effort to enforce a fair trial. Though she’s not using those words.

Missed the message. Robert appears confused about what’s going on, but he sure has Moscow Mitch’s likeness pegged, which is what is probably driving the cartoon. I do note the roller-skates, but he missed the rocket pack on Mitch’s back.

Is Ariail drunk, off his meds, in & out of a coma, hallucinating? He seems to have lost the thread altogether. Let’s find him a nice pasture.

Actually, WHAT IS THE RUSH? Impeachment is not a microwave meal. It took one and a half YEARS of investigating Nixon to get all of the needed information, and that information was essential.

Since Trump has obstructed testimonies from many witnesses and blocked access to needed financial documentation there may be no choice down the line but to have FURTHER impeachments on the charges related to those important pieces of information. That is terribly messy. I strongly think that it would be better to take the time to be thorough, even though that means having to challenge some of Trump’s obstructionist tactics in court, and present all the charges at one time rather than them having to be spread out.

Most recently, of course, Trump has committed exactly the same offense that he railed about in 2008 relation to GWB in relation to the Iraq War: a false explanation by a president for unilaterally taking or promoting a war-like action. At that time he said that Bush should be impeached for doing it.
