The GOP is not about logic, fairness or due process. It’s good to point this out from time to time, but pointing it out won’t help those who need to realize: They’re selectively blind.
Our two very weak minority political parties finding themselves unable to lead have given more and more power to the executive branch. Now the resident can actually prevent witnesses from testifying in the Senate. Does anyone think this is what the founders had in mind?
Don’t really care about this issue or this cartoon. The impeachment is done, the Senate jurors will acquit, and the President will be re-elected. Next issue, please!
I’m sure the Senate will welcome the same witnesses Pelosi allowed in the Impeachment proceeding.
A pity she didn’t use her power of subpoena, power to challenge Privilege claims in the courts. I expect the courts would have taken those challenges on an expedited basis.
Now she wants the Senate to do her job for her. So sorry. The jury doesn’t get to play investigator.
